6am ET, noon for us here, so rise and shine BAs.

My love for Triples from all breweries and countries still hasn’t dissipated. All countries, well outside of France and Belgium, and beside Canadian’s Unibroue I don’t recall ever sipping on an American Triple.

I'm starting off today with a saison by Unibroue, A Tout Le Monde. It's a cousin to Unibroue's La Fin Du Monde, the Tripel that Shanex was likely referring to above. Hazy, burnt orange color. Thick, rocky, off white head with excellent retention and excellent lacing. This is a serious looker. Very yeasty, malty aroma with some light fruitiness. Flavors of the yeast & malts are strong. Breadlike with ample fruity sweetness. No real funkiness in the nose or taste, though. I was expecting that and was a little let down not to find it, but it was still a very good beer. I rated it a 3.94 which is just a tick above its average of 3.86.

Unlike other members here, I don’t own the proper Trappistes Rochefort glass, but I can still purchase it for under 2€.

Morning BA's! Getting ready for a day in the woods that should be the best 'shroom day of the season, and certainly is looking like great weather. Hoping to hit a fresh "pop" of Armillaria tabescens, and maybe some more Chants too! Of course, proper breakfast is key. Chanterelle pizza and a Guinness. Yummm!

Good day BAs. Today's bunny in the front yard was grinning at me when I got the morning paper and the mushrooms growing under my ginko were gone - could there be a connection? Today's New Breakfast Beer, one of which I sucked down a couple of cans prior to heading to New England, but didn't review until today:

    Decent.

Buenos dias, WBAYDNers. Beautiful day on tap. This Rupture is hitting all the right spots...any way I want it. (Sorry not sorry). Had this song implanted in my head early this morning. Don't know why. Earworms are the worst.

Was reaching for a SoPro Breakfast IPA and grabbed this similar looking can by mistake. May all my mistakes have such good results . . .

Appearance of light hazy gold, bountiful white cap with good lacing.

Aroma of citrus hops first, rather dense hop aroma giving off notes of grapefruit zest, lemon oil, woodsy, earthy and a brightness that seems spicy but really isn't spicy. Good depth to the hops but little malt apparent.

On entry the malt contributes mostly to the body and as a carrier for the hops which it does rather well serving as a launch platform rather than substantially contributing to the flavor. Good integration of taste sensations here, fairly complex. No alcohol apparent, clean finish with lingering hop aftertaste.
