Good day BAs! According to the PGH weather guessers, this will be our fifth dry weekend this year! WOOHOO! Of course, I live far enough from PGH that that doesn't mean much - our local weather seems to follow the I-80 corridor from Youngstown east and our local cable doesn't cover any Youngstown channels so ...
anyway, today's New Breakfast Beer is one I picked up on our recent drive around northern New England:

Best thing about being a fan of Japanese pro wrestling is watching their Saturday night shows live Saturday morning our time while eating breakfast burritos and drinking fruit forward beers.

    Have a nice Saturday BA.

Speciation Meiotic Drive 2019. Fantastic batch this year as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge sour/tart/tangy blackberry, raspberry, cranberry, plum, apricot, currant, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, pepper, and oak; with moderate wheat, bready malts; and light notes of oaken vanilla, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malts, lactic acitic, fruit tang, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/tannic dryness; lightly increasing pucker, but not overwhelming. Very easy drinking, 7%. Another easy winner as expected. Super jammy elderberries with great balanced fruity/funky Brett/Lacto complexity; balancing malts and nice oak foeder presence. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering acidic/tangy dryness. I wish I lived on the west side of the state, I'd go to every monthly release. For now I can live with what hits distro. I have some go-to stores for that.

Still tasting fantastic. Aromas and flavors of huge mango, honeydew melon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread dough, spicy rye malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied with balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Minimal warming ABV, dangerously smooth. Insane dankness across the board. This is basically just imperial Born Yesterday IMO, very similar if not the same hops. Ekuanot, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic was the first batch, probably similar here. This has all of the same dankness at a much higher ABV, while remaining well attenuated and not overly sweet for over 11.7%. Mosaic and Ekuanot are my favorite hops.

Fat Orange Cat Milkshake NEIPA. This was incredible! Aromas and flavors of huge juicy, lightly tart/tangy key limes, citrus peel/zest, mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, graham cracker, wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and slight lime tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy, silky, bready wheat/lactose; light sticky hops, and lime tang/acids in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tart dryness; no cloying/astringency. Insanely smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.2%. Feels like Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy. Extremely juicy/vibrant key limes/hops, with light dankness; with a perfectly balanced lactose, and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Blows every other variant out of the water. Best one by far.

Stone POG Berliner. This was incredible. Lasting rocky head/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tart/tangy orange juice, pink guava, passion fruit, papaya, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light spiciness and citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness; zero pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, mellowly lactic, 4.7%. Amazing balance of juicy/jammy fruit and lacto complexity; with a nice sized pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Loved it! Will buy a second 6 pack.

Clear golden color with good white cap and lacing which tracts all the way down the glass..

Aroma of good malt with piney, citrusy hops.

Taste presents a substantial malt body up front toting fresh hops on it's back. The hops have a bit of a piney kick but are mostly citrus and fruit. I get some elements of grapefruit, both pulp and zest, also ripe fruits such as mango and pineapple. Fairly complex and well blended flavors.

This is a really nice roasty tasting stout. Chocolate notes and a burnt caramel taste. Fairly light for an imperial stout, really good offering from Mayflower Brewing in Plymouth, Ma home of America’s most famous rock. Make it a great one BA’s

Awesome gose. Fantastic head retention/soapy lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy plums, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, peppercorn, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; light lacto funk and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and peppery coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Creamy/grainy wheat, some lactic acid, fruit tang, sticky spice, and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.5%. Mellowly lactic/salty. Awesome balanced juicy plums, coriander, and lacto complexity; with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with crisp drying. Loved it, will get again for sure. Great summer brew.
