Good day BAs! Drag your sorry asses out of bed (NA/SA BAs) or enjoy your afternoons (Euro BAs). Today's New Breakfast Beer (To be a cross-post with NBS):

Pretty decent. Thanks to @jdell15 and NBS BIF #9 for this one!

Have a nice Sunday BA. I slept in today.

Fantastic pastry stout. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, fudge, brownie batter, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, bready malts; light sticky hops, chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no cloying, acrid, astringency. Dangerously smooth/soft, mild increasing warmth of 12%, no lingering booze. Amazing balance of super rich malts and flavorings; solid earthy hops, and mild fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Will buy more for sure. Spot on stuff.

Awesome DIPA as usual this year. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp/drying resins, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 9.2%. Awesome Vic Secret, Simcoe, Centennial profile. Super juicy, vibrant, dank, earthy hops; great balancing bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. One of my favorite Short's DIPAs for sure.

Fantastic DIPA as usual, have not had it in a year. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, lemon, orange juice, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread dough, biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 8%. Not quite a full on NEIPA; but they label it as Vermont style, so that makes more sense. Lots of stone fruity yeast notes. Hazy but not opaque. Extremely juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; nice sized bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Love everything from Ellison I've had. Always have one of their IPAs in my fridge.

Hoof Hearted Permanent Marker Pen Disguises. This was awesome. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 7%. Feels like El Dorado, Citra, Amarillo. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on NEIPA as usual.

First beers in NYC! The new apartment is getting settled, but my fridge is pretty empty. So I took a morning ride over to Other Half for some goodies. Meanwhile, a couple all-Citra samples: Double Red Chroma (left) and DDH All Citra Everything (right). Cheers, all!
