Good day BAs! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Add a little codeine and this'd be a great cough syrup.

I've been wanting to try this one for a long time and finally did yesterday. Now I'm starting the day with another. La Fin Du Monde by Unibroue. I really love the tripel style and La Fin Du Monde didn't disappoint. The most striking thing about it is the appearance. It's a hazy, dark golden color with a massive head that has excellent retention and fantastic lacing. The nose & palate are filled with yeast, spice, wheat & fruit. While it was definitely worth the wait, I wish I hadn't waited so long to have one.

After successful mashing, but with some mess
it was was good with a Citra Mosaic IPA (home-brew)
one of the last, but the beer holds up good on large bottles

Second day of vacay! Time for a pub run! Starting at Oliver Twist with a Horisont, an English Pale Ale by Fjäderholmarnas Bryggeri.

My old dog (15) has been sleeping late, so what used to be a 6:30 outing has become an 8am walk...back from a gentle stroll to the park...coffee time - Peche Mortel:

9-21-18. The coffee is still strong. My last bottle. One of our local bottle shops used to get Peche Mortel, but the shop went out of business 2 years ago and I haven’t seen it in SWFL since...when I see it again I will load up - Cheers from steamy St. Pete, and have a great Tuesday!

    Howdy BAs.

Sipping on the very appropriate Chimay year 2019, since it’s a pretty cool day for mid-August. Barely 19c.

And that's it. One and done, early, for me today folks. Killed the CO beer stash and excited for my time in Chicago. Also looking forward to hanging out with some Chicagoland BA members, so that we can offend each other in person.
Cheers all, and take life with good humor.

I am helping my wife get her new website up and running (which means I follow her directions exactly). I will need some fortification for this task.

I cannot think of a better fortification but it’s about time the 12oz CBS reach the US

I love new, creative, flavorful beers, but sometimes you've just got to go with a classic.

Good morning, all! I picked up a sixer of this Griesedieck Bros. Golden Pilsner in St. Louis last month. I'd never seen this before, but since Griesedieck is such a well-known name in the brewing industry and it was $8.99 a sixer I thought I'd give it a shot. Long story short, this is really good. All malt (2-row, Crystal, and Caramel 20L), Saaz hops. Medium bodied, with a crisp and dry finish and a nice peppery bitterness. This was much prettier a few minutes before this photo was taken, but my camera wouldn't focus and I had to reboot my phone mid-pour. (Talk about your first-world problems, eh?) Anyway... Prost!

With this beer's local availability, it's a simple choice to crack open a can (or two or three ... but one, for right now).
