What's BBTb1 trading for these days? Also to those who've had both b1 and b2 how comparable are they. I've heard they are 2 different brews. Note I do love barrel character on my stouts and don't mind some heat. Also wonder if b1 will be falling off anytime soon. Thanks!

This may be too early to gauge with any accuracy, but... new Zenne? I’ve only seen them go as a set. Is there likely to be different values for different batches and we’ll have to wait until more people taste to gauge? Or are b3 and b4 likely to be higher because they blending method isn’t utilized anymore?

I’ve traded stouts for lambic plenty of times. Is it roughly the same the other way? Is Assassin19 a reasonable ISO for a single b3-b6 Zenne? Any thoughts are appreciated, including “stop. it’s too early for this.”

I do think an assassin 19 should close any, but I do think it is early to gauge individual bottles in the set. I think we will know more once people in the states start to get their sets

Got it, thanks. That’s about what I expected on both counts.

Well yes, I know they are different beers. I meant they are polar opposite in comparison (from opinions I've heard). Anyway just curious on VRU value here. I saw a bbt1 sell for around 1.25 VRU and it has me wondering if it was a fluke or the going rate. Cheers.

It’s been around 1.5 VR for awhile. Not surprised if a couple move for a little less than that.

You should do a search. About 1-2 weeks ago, or maybe 3 or 4?, there were several posts in ISO/FT. The consensus was that the very limited bottle count made it tough, and that people really are not seeing bottles move. People reported seeing very high FTs (2 VRU?), and nothing but crickets.

    Best of luck.

    Hello everyone -

Need some insight. What is the trade value of a single can of TreeHouse King Julius canned 7/26/19? Today is August 14th 2019.

    Thanks

I like this, for those of us afflicted by the meth epidemic.

$4$ would be my assesment. Whatever the current cost of a can of king julius, that's what I would expect to get in return in terms of a comparable beer.

Perhaps a hijack, but figured some brief secondary perspectives, was noteworthy:

    ---

    Playing the Secondary Beer Market

    Derek Gallanosa

“If secondary sales bring attention to your brewery and can demand a certain amount of attention to your beers, I don’t necessarily see it as a bad thing…We don’t necessarily encourage it, but you know it’s going to happen, and you can’t prevent it, so you adjust and adapt”

    Cory King
    • “King, on the other hand, says that one of his bigger worries about the secondary market is that it raises expectations too high
      • “The reviews for 2018 O.W.K. are overwhelming positive…But the review that stood out for King was a 4.75 rating, where the user praised the beer but knocked it for the price…King says. Indeed, when you dig into the reviews, even the highest scoring ones, you’ll see mentions of the beer costing $3,000–$3,500 for the bottle. That’s a hell of a markup, but that’s the reality of the secondary market”

I think this is an interesting topic, but do think it deserves its own thread. I would gladly reply there.

1 Glamping isn't going to trade in the same vane as a 4 pack of Glamping or a similar quantity of Aslin canned stouts. $4 most likely.

Would SP Cassis du Fermier go 1:1 with Vanilla Rye? Or even something like 1:2 with rare 15 + Prop (any year) or am I way off on SP values...

Pretty sure this is correct. I believe CdF should be 50-70% of a Rare 15, depending on how people value the Rare and the CdF. IF it were me, I would probably be pretty close to 60%.

    It was a $35 bottle.
