    Chandeleur Island Brewing Freemason Golden Ale

    It is a shade of gold but a lighter shade with a diminishing white cap.

    Aroma is not very strong, I get some grain along with floral/citrus hops.

    Taste like a high end AAL, which, considering wheat and corn are in the mix, is not surprising. It's a good flavor for the type but still not quite so flavorful as, say, Yuengling Traditional. That sounds disparaging I know but I came to those conclusions before looking up the brew on their website and finding the grain bill does include corn. It sorta reminds me of Schlitz back in the 60s.

    Work done, the rain has settled in. The Wife is making brunch and ask for bloody mary's......not a problem. A little KBS coffee for me to have with my bacon/eggs/biscuits. Queuing up Bohemian Rhapsody DVD for this afternoon. I saw Queen in 1978 in the Lakeland Civic Center...amazing!

    It’s still raining here...lunch beer - “Rinse/Repeat - Topaz Nelson El Dorado”, a NEIPA DH w/the 3 hops, by Westbrook:



    Canned 7/10/19. Bought at the brewery 8/3/19. Tasting as good (mango papaya orange lemon) as it did two weeks ago...and the body is medium light (which I like), not full or pillowy - I could/would drink another (alas I believe this is my last can)...Cheers bar mates!
