We visited some friends of my wife last night. The host was a cool guy and well travelled guy, of which we enjoyed interesting conversations on different topics. Somehow, my love of beer came up, of which he confessed he was not a beer drinker. However, he proceeded to leave the room and come back with a bottle of Fullers Vintage Ale 2009. He said it was a gift to him 10 years ago and that he will never drink it. He generously gave it to me.
Of course I will give it a taste! Question is, will it still be good after 10 years? Interested to hear what I might expect.

Patrick Dawson's Vintage Beer includes it as an old ale worth aging. Ten years might be beyond the peak but maybe not. Let me put it this way: I'd rather be in your position than not.

OP here. I just had it! Tasted pretty good. Some sherry flavors due to oxidation and a bit flat. Definitely past its peak but not so bad, pretty tasty. I can tell it was a great beer in its prime.
