Why? Because how they were released? Probably similar bottle counts and the same beer minus the VB in x .

 

I am all for a friendly trade where you use any sort of metric to make that trade with a buddy. I have gladly sent limited beers for nothing, or comparatively little, and also been on the receiving side where I have received beers 4x the value of what I gave. But it’s a trade with a buddy, so you want this and I have this and we’re all happy.

When you aren’t trading with a friend, and someone has a bottle worth 2-3 times your bottle, and you already traded 2 of that very bottle for a bottle of PVW15, and your new beer could land a PVW15 no problem, maybe even require the PVW side to add a plus? It’s pretty heavy. Extraordinarily lopsided, and that trader knew it. Just doesn’t make much sense to me. I probably could have chosen my words better, but seems to me like that individual took absolute advantage of the individual on the other side of the table.

Also, absolutely zero value added to this thread to even post the trade. No one thinks the bottle suddenly tripled in value. It is a bizarre conspicuous consumption post. For anyone that might check this before trading one of their bottles, it also needs to be known that this Is an outlier in the extreme sense of the word.

Maybe I over paid but I wanted to close quick. I also maybe value TG X more than most and maybe I value BBT b2 less because I've had it multiple times.

I just wanted to point out trading is much, much different than lining up secondary prices of beers. Values of beers are set by the holder of the bottles. My trade maybe an outlier but I thought it was pretty fair. Both people were happy. Isn't that what trading and "beer" is about?

Or is it quoting secondary and milking beers for all they are worth?
