So after looking back at my past and drinking “shitty beers” that weren’t really shitty beers, they were just priced that way.

Red White and Blue, back in the day like under $4 a case, yep a case. I’m thinking like $3.50 or so, where Bud was like $5. 1974-75 pricing, but I was making like $1.10 an hour working g at WaWa part time in HS.

Yeah, but let's get to the real nitty-gritty - did ya get tips?

According to the BLS Inflation Calculator "$3.50" in 1974 dollars would equal $17.24 today - or only 74¢ less than a case of "premium-priced" Budweiser today, on sale at Liquor Mart in Boulder. (But, yeah, the gas to get there makes it not worth the drive - not for 1 case, anyway). But that prices makes Budweiser cheaper - even when not on sale - today than it was it 1974 dollars, since $5 (1974 $) = $27.53 today.

Oh, yeah, the Federal minimum wage in 1974 was $2/hr, so you should probably find a labor lawyer and hopefully the back pay will come with interest!

Now I think of it it was $1.90 and a weekend premium of $2.10. I didn’t wok long it cut into my party time with my friends.

I personally enjoy Grain Belt products. Also not ashamed of enjoying a Hamm's from time to time

Corona (with a lime of course:-), especially relaxing at a pool or outdoor BBQ on a hot summer day.
Miller Lite, after mowing the lawn.
Oh, and Shock Top, same situation as a Corona.

There are lots of low rated beers that I like but I am contrarian by nature.
