Hard me to know which brewery is bigger trash. 3 Chiefs or Omnipollo.

Since when is giving an opinion that’s not glowingly positive creating drama? I’d be willing to bet that neither the owners of 3C or Omnipollo give a rip about my opinion. Nor should they if their businesses are successful.

While everyone is entitled to there opinion, "trash" is not the common opinion I run into with people that have had their beer. Before Omnipollo was on the FOMO radar, I had thier beer at FWIBF, no line, no fuss, no one knew who they were. Best beer of the day for me. Innovative, creative, and new at a time when deserts stouts were just taking off.

The next year, the FOMO crowd knew who they were and the lines have been long ever since. But that doesn't the beer bad.

As for 3 Cheifs stouts, I have found them very good to excellent, but certainly over hyped, and their IPAs very good but dismissed by the FOMOs.

But Trash? We will just have agree to disagree.

Fair enough. Omnipollo lost me the moment I saw them make a vanilla, French fry IPA. Then I tried their pecan mudcake cans and those were awful. Sugary sweet garbage that didn’t even taste like beer to me.

So I am going to take one more run at this, and its really not directed just at you, but rather all the people that keep derailing this thread.

Beer is subjective. I would never challenge you in your opinion that 3 Chiefs or Omnipollo is thrash. I may point out that it is an outliner opinion or present an alternative opinion, but still respect your opnnion. Many of my opinions are outliers too.

For example, I'm not a huge Hazy IPA fan. I think the style is highly over rated. But I do recognize that most people disagree with me. I can still speak through my ratings.

What I don't get, is people hanging around threads of breweries they do not like, or using your words, think that their beer is thrash, and continue to derail a thread that people with an interest in the brewery would like to use to discuss their releases, events, etc.

I'll give you another example, I use to be a big Stone fan, back in the day. Stone has gone in a direction I don't really support. Granted, I don't think their beer is garbage, and will drink it from time to time. but I I don't' seek it out, and have very little interest in what they do these days.

But I dont' hang around Stone threads trashing them.

I just don't get the insistence on preventing those of us with an interest in 3 Chiefs from having a productive discussion about the brewery.

we got one dude over here using the word "cromulent" for no reason

and then there is john, foaming at the mouth about how much he respects an opinion that he clearly does not respect

    three chiefs thread is great!

Would love to discuss it with you over a beer, if possible come join one of our west LA shares.

But you are wrong. I do respect his opinion, and encourage him to write a review clarifying it. There is a difference between disagreeing with an opinion and not respecting it.

What I have trouble with is the constant derailing of this thread

I thought 'cromulent' was a reference to the hyborian god Crom, who as we all know was devoutly followed by Conan the barbarian, an ardent fan of New England hazy and west coast IPAs.

I’m not stopping anyone from having a discussion here. I am not begrudging anyone for having an opposite opinion of their own. I say positive things about breweries I like and negative things about breweries I do not. This is a discussion board, and I will use it as such. The adage of “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” is one I left behind in grade school where it belongs.

    I can help... 40 for a 500ml, zomg wtf...hypeboisbbqoverchargingsomething

Anywho, after I had Dos...they lost me. I still haven't had an ipa of theirs that was consumable and haven't had any of their recent stout releases, because, as I said, they lost me after Dos (i.e. it was bad).

    40/bottle for a non-BA stout. What a joke.

$40 for non-BA stout is crazy. Also, of course it sold out, the bottle count was 250. They made $10,000. There is no way about 30 gallons of beer cost anywhere near that. I can’t see it costing more than $1,000. And hand labeling 250 bottles is not that difficult

How many beers do I have to try before I’m allowed to definitively say fuck this brewery?
