It’s been a long time ago, but I saw some preparations for a beer competition somewhere in England, I forget the brewery but I think it was Bateman’s. I saw they were using a ladel and putting it into each barrel. What’s up with that? Flavor? Clarifyer?

I thought it was just the shells used in the boil, could be wrong.

    Enjoy

We got to eat those oysters after they were boiled in the kettle too. Although they were really overcooked at that point and covered in sweet specialty malt juice. It was still an experience, and IMHO probably the best beer GLBC has brewed on their main brewhouse system.

They also used pretty high quality, crazy fresh east coast oysters that were overnighted for brew day.
