Have been taking my time with it. Enjoyed the Hop Solo and SNPA. The Sidecar was interesting, maybe not on a par with the other two, but still good. Will see how the other 3 stack up.

This just showed up at my Costco. Only for club stores I believe. 6 Oktos and 6 Viennas means I’m in...

I am going to need to hit Costco for that.

I picked this one up yesterday, for $13 bucks I couldnt not grab it. If that’s the same coffee stout from a few years ago.

And in comparison to the Sam Adams Fall Pack, this one is actually good. I remember really liking the Vienna a few years back.

I need this! But I am not a Costco member and not even sure if the ones here sell beer now, will have to check into this.

After seeing this I researched and this is the new sampler lineup but the site shows some of them as cans, are they all bottles? I am not a big fan of Torpedo and Hop Bullet is just okay (although I haven't had it in a while) but decent lineup:

Who else would not buy a crap load of 12 packs if it was a mix of Porter/Coffee Stout/Regular Stout. LOL I wish just for once SN would toss a bone to all of us asking for years. Come on SN, show us the love :sunglasses::stuck_out_tongue::wink: At a min maybe just for a month or so have Coffee Stout in six packs, we all love it, I know it would sell.

Looks like two very different sampler packs. I'll check the local Costco to see if they have the SNPA, O'fest, Flipside, and Vienna. Not a fan of Torpedo, Hop Bullet, or Coffee Stout.

Well, I would go for their Stout or Porter six packs if they would make them available. I'm an IPA fan but sometimes I just crave something different.

I guess it depends where you are. I can pick up SN porter or stout in six packs with not a lot of effort.

That is what sucks. I have spoken with them and I know they sell in select markets and at brewery. I am just amazed they cannot send out to rest of us who used to get these. Up until maybe 2 years ago Stout and Porter was available then gone. Their reply was your local demand is low. But stouts in my local stores fly off shelves, local guys sell them all the time, so no idea as to why they cut most of us out.
Maybe one day they will see the light and know there is more to life than IPA lol.

You don’t need a membership to buy beer at Costco, it’s actually illegal to require a membership to buy alcohol. Just tell them you’re buying beer. At the register they have to get a manager but no worries. That how I do it.

I'm in PA, our laws are very different. We do have membership based alcohol laws e.g. private memberships can extend last call past 2 am so it's complicated here. Most grocery stores are still not allowed to sell alcohol and most that do have very strict requirements that they need to abide by like they can't sell more than 192 ounces in a single purchase, one needs to buy the alcohol at separate registers, they need to have seating for onsite consumption, etc.

I will look into it but I doubt that the Costco stores near me sell beer, would be surprised if we have any in this state but you never know.

The individual Costco stores would need to obtain (buy) a license just like your local supermarket (e.g., Wegman's, Acme, Giant,...) did. I wonder if any individual Costco store has made this effort/investment?

    Cheers!

But breweries don't simply "send out" beer - their local wholesale distributors order it (and, needless to say, pay for it). Your complaint is with your local wholesaler (and, by extension, the retailers and retailers' customers). Sierra Nevada would likely be very happy to sell the distributor pallets of Porter and Stout.

Correct, that's why I doubt it. Plus I pass at least one store regularly and never saw the bright orange liquor license notice of application.

It is so weird because we get every SN product just not stout/porter. So it would not be very hard at all to include these with the order. They said demand is low but stouts sell as fast as IPA around me. Its weird because SN has more comp in the IPA arena yet they stock those here and you would assume they are facing the same low demand. If I am correct they fell off for many folks around country, so I am not 100% sure we are getting the complete story on the demand issue. Stouts are pretty dang popular so I cannot believe they are not selling. I honestly feel SN wants to focus on IPA and other items and not these, least that is my 2 cents.

As has been mentioned before... We make it, it's available. The distributor and retailers need to buy and order it for you to see it.

In our order system, I'm seeing about 10 cases of Stout shipping to each Hensley location (Phoenix, Chandler and Tuscan) every month. Porter not so frequent but we must have an account pour Porter draught as we ship about 4-8 five gallons/month.

You might want to check here... https://sierranevada.com/beer-locator/?loc=Stout

    Or call Hensley.

Sorry it's not more readily available

I picked up 2 of these SN 24 pks at Sam's Club over the weekend - like $26 a pack - crazy cheap and good fresh brews!

@SierraTerence If this was available in regular stores I would buy a crap ton of these.
