@SierraTerence Is it possible that the locator is correct and there's no Stout in all of Oregon?

Re: Porter - I see it going to Oak Beverage on Friday. Also on Friday, 30 cases to Kramer Beverage down the shore (not sure GP Exit ). Union has some schedule later in September but it looks like they only get it about every three months or less.

All our shipments show everything goes to Columbia-Portland... Where they move in the state, I don't know. That said, they did just receive in the last week 20 cases of Porter and 30 cases of Stout.

Good luck... I'll dig into the locator (looks weird to me - showing 50 accounts in Brooklyn with Stout )

Well, I don't pay for the stats anymore (maybe a Brewers Association member can give the latest IRI data on beer style market share the organization often publishes in the mid-year or year end pdf's) but the most current ones I find on the 'net put "IPA" at over 30% of all craft beer sales and "Stout" has long been in the low single digits. Can't judge how often the geekery discusses/obsesses over a style with how well it actually sells.

Kramer's located in Hammonton off the Atlantic City Expressway (so, on the way to the shore in blueberry country) and in Lawrenceville (the former Hub City) outside Trenton, just off US Rt. 1 and not far from the banks of the Delaware.

But I guess if you're in California both are comparatively closer to the Atlantic Ocean than you guys.

But my Central NJ SN distributor is "Shore Point" - located in Freehold, still a 20 miles or so drive (right past the GSP Exit 100) to get the boardwalk. Feel free to drop a mixed pallet of stout and porter off there, tell 'em I said it was OK:grin:

I bought some Sierra Nevada Stout in Mills River in July! What an amazing beer! Very unique stout at 5.8%

Yeah, they are all in bottles. And yeah Hop Bullet isn’t my favorite either would have liked a Gothic Pils or a Kellerbier in here instead. Or even Hop Hunter which I never see around anymore oddly.

I miss the old sampler/variety packs. I always bought a couple each season. I never buy the regular sampler. I will be looking for the new one at Costco.

That fall pack I looked forward to every year. Sucks that it’s gone.

If I can only buy a few core beers (if I travel) and I certainly can't get this Costco sampler (plus no fall pack this year) it seems like SN doesn't even want to sell me beer that I want to drink.

I feel your pain, brother. I'm also in the AZ market and I deal with Hensley here regularly. SN Coffee Stout is my favorite product they produce. I wish it was available as a stand alone and I'm not really interested in the variety pack where I'm stuck with 10 other beers I'm not interested as much in.

Ah yeah those would be good. I do see HH in my area but it's always old.

Not trying to be rude, but I trust Sierra Nevadas data over your observations.

I am sure they have a very detailed chart of sales, etc. I don't doubt that at all. Just saying from what I see people enjoy stouts and other heavier beers also. I always fall back on Founders and Bells as a perfect example. These guys sell stouts and non-IPA beers in the AZ market without issue. I have not seen them change at all over the years. So I just don't get why they have a demand for them but SN does not? Anyway just interesting stuff and I am sad to see them not around, they are fantastic beers and need to be enjoyed.
    Cheers

Arizona has a lot of snowbirds with connections to those Michigan breweries. An advantage SN might not have

Unexpectedly found and purchased the "club store" variety pack at Woodman's in Madison tonight. $23.99. Pale Ale packaged on 7/2, Oktoberfest 7/9, Vienna and Flip side 7/15.

Kept my eye out in a few stores and we still have a ton of The Sampler packs with the old lineup on the shelves so it doesn't look like we will be seeing the new one soon.
