Went to the Cantillon brewery in Belgium in 2008 and only bought one bottle. Guess I thought I had enough with the case of Westy 8.

I had the opportunity to buy Framboos (2011 edition) by the case one time. I bought one bottle. Regretting that a bit today, yeah.
If I had been more on the ball, I could have gotten some good friends in Brussels to get this year's Fou 'Foune at release. But I didn't.

Two weeks ago I coulda bought 8 Berserkers at a local, on a bottom out of the way shelf. Bought one, thought about buying all of them, but they were 17.00 I changed mind and came back for the others in a couple days and they all were gone. I was sad, but my wallet said thank you.

My biggest miss was the tix for EBF this year. Totally spaced on the on sale day.
Beerwise, it was a couple years ago you could find Cantillon all day every day... or the 09 release of BCBS. That stuff sat for ages on Tue shelves, and I always thought, well it'll be here next time.

A few years ago there were about 6 or so KBS sitting on the shelf at City Beverage, maybe 6 bucks a piece, can't remember, but said hell no and left them there. This year KBS will be sold out in a few hours if that, I blame BA for that, there are beer geeks everywhere now that are updated and informed.

3 years ago I walked past a floor stack of 5 cases of Bourbon County Coffee Style Stout without knowing anything about it - I looked it up on BA the next day and stopped by to pick up a few - all gone - and never got to taste one -

When I first started trading a couple of years ago, KTG was my personal whale. I put out an ISO for KTG. As my wife was sitting in the recliner next to mine, bitching about how I'm always on my ipad and BA, I happen to notice the little red inbox symbol pop up. I was so excited, the title was Kate the Great. I can't explain how ecstatic I was. I opened the mail and it was some obscene message from my wife. She created an account and sent the message from her iphone just to fuck with me for being on BA all the time.

I think she actually feels bad now because she saw how excited I was. I never let her forget it although it was pretty funny. No, I still haven't tried KTG and yes she still bitches about me being on my ipad and BA all the time, lol. I remind her that she doesn't seem to have a problem drinking the beers when they arrive on the door step

Not so much a miss in a store, but at a tasting. Went to a crazy whale tasting and ripped through so many amazing wants. A few of us went to another guys place after the tasting to continue to open crazy beers. Woke up the next morning with an empty crianza bottle in my bag. Turned out we opened this at the after tasting tasting and no one remembered it.

Stared at at least 10 boxes of Parabola a few years back, wondering why it was so expensive and why it needed a box.

I saw a Jolly Pumpkin Biere De Mars Grand Reserve on a shelf for weeks up in Maine before. Didn't know much about them at the time, and when I went back to get it when I realized what it was it was gone. Still kicking myself for that one.

Years ago, used to get BCBS at a littlr store here in SoCal. Loved it, but only got it a few times. Sometimes it would sit there for a month or 2. Then we went through a LOOOONNNGGGGG dry spell- years. Wish I hadn't taken it for granted. Now we're grateful at the slight chance of scoring a taste of the very limited disrto that is trickling into our Golden State.:slight_frown:

Being new in Ca. by a few years and not really knowing Firestone Walker is how my story starts. So I'm at a Bev Mo in Sacramento and I walk by this stack of about 4 to 5 cases of beer. Well it was Firestone Walker 10th anniversary beer. It was really cool looking in it's box. As I checked them out I thought "who the heck is going to pay $9.99 for a bomber (22oz) of beer?" And passed on buying even one. And now I think "why did I not by all of them for $9.99?)

Back when Cantillon was available, and most stores didn't want to carry them because they didn't sell well. 6 bottles of RdG sat on the shelf for probably 8 months. I was put off by the 18$ price tag. Ahh...the good old days of 2009 lol

While living in Belgium, I decided against buying the airline ticket to Copenhagen for the Blåbær release in both 2010 and 2011.

    Idiot.
