    Everytime I see that Onkyo tape deck of yours it takes me back. Used to sell audio gear back in the day. Is that a TA-RW244?

    Indeed, that is an Onkyo TA-RW244.

    My old Sony dual cassette deck crapped out earlier this year. I was looking online for a reasonably priced single or dual tape deck, but everything seemed to hover around $200 and up. On a whim, I went to a local pawn shop and picked up the Onkyo for under $30.

    I don't listen to old mix and commercial tapes much, but it's nice to have a quality tape deck when I'm in the mood...

    Wiseacre Brewing Bloom IPA

    Bright hazy yellow color with white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of sharp citrus, herbal hops with touches of conifer.

    Taste is hop forward with citrus elements, grapefruit and lemon, prominent with malt base receding into the background. Hops are the main show here from start to finish and lingering in the aftertaste. Something floral also. There is a bright lifting effect of the hops as they seem to grow in flavor as the brew washes over the palate. Complex, tingly and refreshing.

    Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

    There's a lot to like about this one. Relatively high ABV isn't noticeable and the overall effect is a very refreshing brightness.

    Well, it looks like the outer bands of Dorian are going to just miss my Philly suburb. While we're staying dry, our thoughts are with the folks who aren't. I'm having a Devil's reach from Cape May Brewing. It's a Belgian strong pale ale and it drinks really easy for its 8.6% ABV. It's fruity with pear and orange being the most noticeable. A very fine beer. I had it a week or two ago and went back yesterday and got some more.
