Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen, 4% ABV. Pours pale golden, with a one-finger foamy head. Nose is an incredibly great apricot. Taste is sweet apricots, and the underlying hefeweizen is bready. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Hoops No. 42, Raspberry Pepper Coffee Infusion Brown, 4.8% ABV. Pours medium brown, with a one-finger off-white head. Nose is real nice sweet raspberry and a hint of peppers. Taste is coffee, tart raspberry, and a slight but building pepper heat, and slight bitter coffee close. Decent mouthfeel, overall and excellent session brown.

Hoops No. 88 Oatmeal Stout, 5.9% ABV. Pours black with a one-finger foamy off-white head. Malty nose. Taste is coffee, moderate 52 IBU bitterness. Very smooth mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Have a nice Saturday BA, I slept in again lol.

Mind blowing as usual this year. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, fudge, toffee, vanilla, molasses, cinnamon, clove, rum, oak, toasted coconut, chili pepper, and light dark fruit/char. Light roast/char bitterness and rum/oak/pepper spiciness on the finish. Very full bodied with a perfectly creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel; with slight slickness, sticky spice, and chalky roast notes. Lightly increasing lingering pepper heat. Mild roast/spice dryness, never cloying. Mildly warming 15%, never boozy. Dangerously smooth sipper. This one has a bit more pepper presence than BA Bomb, but is still insanely balanced between rich malts, spices, and rum barrels. Bought a ton of them this time around. One of their top stouts for sure. World class stuff. Definitely the best rum barrel aged beer ever made. Most that I've had feel too boozy. Glad their stouts aren't as rare now, just hope for some more Vanilla Noir and BA Bomb.

Bell's Double Two Hearted. This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of huge ruby red grapefruit, mandarin orange juice, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, and pine hops; with balanced honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild booze in the aromas as it warms. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts and some sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy alcohol dryness, no cloying/astringent. Very smooth/soft, mild increasing warmth of 11% after the finish. Amazing Centennial showcase as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized balancing malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. More candied-like citrus and a bigger malt backbone; but just as balanced from the 2.5X extra hops. Did not really prefer over the base beer, but need to revisit that review. Already got 2 packs of this.

Happy weekend, BAs! First week back with the 12 year olds. 3 days felt like 3 months. Feeling like a zombie after all those hormones, but this new-to-PA brew should help.

 

Dark reddish brown color like old copper, eggshell cap with good lacing.

Aroma of rich malt supported by darker tone hops, lively in a strong way without being heavy.

Taste is where it shines, rich malt, and mostly malt, through mid palate where the hops march forth. Hops through to the finish with lingering malt and hops in the aftertaste with hops putting a period at the end of the sentence.

 

Still tasting amazing. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very smooth and creamy/bready/grainy wheat/oat mouthfeel; light sticky hops and acidity. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tart dryness. Amazing soft spot on mouthfeel for the style. Super drinkable for 6.8%. Super juicy/lightly dank hops with awesome balance of strawberry flavorings. Perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, and not overly sweet/heavy for the style. Can't say I prefer it over the base beer. Equally amazing spot on NEIPA. Base M-43 is my top most purchased beer right now. Hope I can land some Pineapple Jalapeno.
