Info from a nice lady at the brewery revealed Epic is releasing 5 new Baptist variants over the next 5 weeks. Baptista will not be released this year but here is the lineup starting with the Brandy Friday the 20th with a new bottle released every Friday.

Big Bad Baptist Vanilla Brandy, an imperial stout aged in brandy barrels with cacao, coffee and vanilla
Big Bad Baptist Chocolate Rapture, an imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with cacao nibs, coffee and vanilla.
Hazelnut Vanilla Latte Big Bad Baptist, an imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with coffee, roasted cacao nibs, roasted hazelnuts and vanilla
Baptist Peanut Butter Cup, an imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with coffee, roasted cacao nibs and peanuts
Quintuple Barrel Baptist - not sure of all the ingredients here

That is exciting. The baptista is one of my favorite beers but all of the Baptist variants are great.

Quintuple barrel Baptist eh? The quad barrel was already nuts enough, so I'm curious as to how that'll turn out. The brandy barrel version excites me the most though.

Bummed about Baptista, one of my favorite beers last year, but I'm excited about most these new variants!

Epic is milking that Baptist series for all it's worth. That hazelnut vanilla is intriguing though likely I'll never get a whiff of it.

If by "milking" you mean consistently dropping low-key bangers for $15-18/bottle with zero hype, than yeahhhhhhhhh. I guess I consider "milking" more along the line of a two-bottle+glass boxed set of non-BA stout at 3x the price, but hey, that's just like, my opinion, man.

Anywho, I am disappointed in the lack of Baptista, but I'll be grabbing every single one of these releases nonetheless.

I just mean Baptist variants like baptista, reserve, double barrel, etc and now this release of 5 new ones.

And I agree that for the price point, some of the better BA stuff on the shelf when you can find it.

Man, I've not seen any of the Baptist variants under $21-24 with regular Baptist being ~$18. They've all been good and at least worth the price for one bottle, but harder to pull the trigger on multiple.

These look very interesting (although I'm not huge on peanut butter beers)

Really wish I would've picked up a case of the Baptista, I miss it so...

...and just for clarification. maybe 'milking' was a poor choice of words on my part, since I like the BBB series, but seems like each successive year they're adding more new variants than the prior year. I guess its no different than Goose Island and their 6-7+? variants to the bourbon county lineup.
