Good morning/afternoon BAs! It’s coffee time - FBS:

We may go downtown for the parade later this morning; otherwise a pretty relaxing day ahead. Have a great Saturday y’all!

[IMG] Up and at it DAVE. This picture does not do the sky this morning justice. NEIPA brewed with almonds, apricot, and coconut makes 49 degrees feel warmer. Cheers all.

First beer of Saturday is Patio Lanterns, a double dry-hopped pale ale by Lervig and Collective Arts. Watching the bonus material on the Avengers: Endgame Blu-Ray.

@Danmullens1 gave me a good supply of NEIPAs that he acquired on a voyage to Illinois. It is time for me to start drinking them. The first one is from Mikerphone. This is delicious! Thank you, Dan!

Have a nice Saturday BA. Slept in a bit again today. Going to Ascension later on for a beer release.

Still tasting fantastic. Aromas and flavors of huge mango, honeydew melon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread dough, spicy rye malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied with balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky/resin/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin/rind dryness, no hop astringency. Minimal warming ABV, dangerously smooth. Insane dankness across the board. This is basically just imperial Born Yesterday IMO, very similar if not the same hops. Ekuanot, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic was the first batch, probably similar here. This has all of the same dankness at a much higher ABV, while remaining well attenuated and not overly sweet for over 11.7%. Mosaic and Ekuanot are my favorite hops.

Howdy! Up early as my wife had a 6 am flight. Can't sleep, so... another one of these puppies with some coffee boost in it. Still have 3 left. Cheers.

Watched the second half of the soccer team beating #2 Duke last night, which the announcers thought would boost UVa from #6 to #3. Going to see if the football team can match that win and move up from #25 (in one poll). Cheers!

Mikkeller SD Wicked Sik Spells. Excellent DIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, nicely soft, not aggressive, minimal warming 8.4%. Feels like Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced clean pale malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Glad I got the 4 pack as usual.

Still tasting amazing. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy strawberries, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very smooth and creamy/bready/grainy wheat/oat mouthfeel; light sticky hops and acidity. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tart dryness. Amazing soft spot on mouthfeel for the style. Super drinkable for 6.8%. Super juicy/lightly dank hops with awesome balance of strawberry flavorings. Perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, and not overly sweet/heavy for the style. Can't say I prefer it over the base beer. Equally amazing spot on NEIPA. Base M-43 is my top most purchased beer right now. Hope I can land some Pineapple Jalapeno.

Incredible as always. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, medium-plus body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness; no hop astringency. Very smooth, nicely soft, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 6%. Amazing Simcoe/Amarillo profile. Super juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with an awesome clean bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A top tier classic.

Amazing batch this year as expected. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, raisin, red grape, plum, pear, red apple, pepper, candi sugar, and toasted bread; with some herbal hops and yeast earthiness. Touch of banana/clove. Balanced fruit tartness and peppery yeast spice on the finish against malt sweetness. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Some bready/grainy creaminess, fruit tannins, and lightly slick/syrupy in the mouthfeel. Good dryness from fruit acidity and yeast spice; never too sweet. Very drinkable, minimal warming 9.2%. Already got 4 packs. This shows great balance of Belgian yeast character, without just being a straight over the top fruit beer. Love Rubaeus too, this is basically just the imperial Belgian version. One of my favorite fruit beers of all time. I wouldn’t mind Cerise coming back either. Super jammy. Will keep buying more while I can.
