I've now had both of the new pastry stouts by kane and I found them sickeningly sweet. Maybe that is the style (not sure I've ever had a "pastry stout" before) but I just don't get it.

New barrel treatment on the pils could work out nicely

I wonder when that Great Notion collab ipa is gonna be released. Didn’t they post them brewing it like 5 weeks ago?

I wouldnt say LONG, its usually right around this time they announce and put up the preorder for them (since they have been doing it that way)

Stopped by and the lager with barrel treatment was VERY good. Could easily drink that during football.

Also the taplist was very small as far as porter/stout, was shocked to see no bells or brunches.

    $50 for 2 bottles? That’s pretty pricey.

Been around the same price for a few years if I recall.

Keep in mind these are also ba 750mls both with blends of older beers, I am sure there is a storage cost in there.

Same price as last year, I think this is one of the few bottles Kane puts out that does not increase in price every year

I remember when the quad used to be $16 a bottle. I think it changed around the sixth anniversary. I'm going to wait on it this time around and avoid the eventbrite fees. They seemed to have a good number of leftovers last year.

I stopped there on Saturday and couldn't believe how awesome that Chestnut Barrel Sideshore was. I can't recall ever having or even hearing of a pilsner with the barrel treatment. Flavorful and smooth.

I also had pours of the two BA Quads and dear lord were they outstanding.

Can anyone make out the ABV on the bottles, I'm assuming the quad is similar range to years past if not identical ABV. Looks like the stout might say 11 % or so?

Can not agree enough with your. It really was delicious.

The anniversary beers are always my favorites, I tend to sit on them for a bit and open during the holidays.

Do this as well. I wanted to wait and get them after the pick ups when there are left overs but will be out of the country so I will get it through eventbrite and grab them this weekend. Excited to crack these

Question on anniversary release. Can anyone give a good estimate on supply/demand and likely brewery availability? 3 sets per person means they made a ton, right? Does this also mean I can just show up in a week or two after and get them? Next two weekends are tight with kid stuff, but can probably squeeze it in if necessary.

Usually they make a TON of the anniversary beers. This is the first year I recall it being a 1:1 ratio so that make cause it to sell faster but previously it is not the rush sellout like bells/antead

In the past they have had bottles for sale at the brewery and the Quad tended to last much longer than the stout/porter.

My gut would want to say you should be able to snag something post release but never guranteed...

again someone here may be able to fact check my info
