I fired off an email to try to get some actual beer details.

This being the day after Trillium does their Oktoberfest at the new Fenway spot has me dreaming big dreams.

Doing the Lord's work, that was my first thought but will await whatever details they give you if you don't mind reporting it here. A little quiet on the parameters if they wanted to hype the event...like unlimited pours or 5 tiny samples? Breweries present? Etc etc. But with the price of tickets including the fest not much more expensive than a standard Sunday game I can't think it will be anything much more significant than the beers already offered in the park...

How else are they going to get rid of all the leftover beer from this underachieving season?

Really I think John Lackey was the workhorse of the chicken and beer team. Guy's mouth was always open for easy beer dispensing; those insanely frequent close-ups Fox does on the pitcher between pitches were truly scary..

    Here's the response I got.

"We are working with our partner Boston Beer and on the special offerings we will have available. Once those details are finalized we will add to the website. Should be in the next few days.

It will be served like normal offerings in the ballpark. We are exploring a smaller size beer to give fans the opportunity to try more options."

Just saw an ad on Facebook for this. Anyone ever gone? It looks like it's pretty cheap - seemingly just the cost of a ticket, which makes me think that you have to buy your beers. I don't see any information on their website.

    I reached out.

The ticket gets you in. Then you buy the beers individually.
