I think the draw is simply to those southsiders who don't want to have to travel far north for their dose of androgynous clothing + disdain, with a background of Infochammel. The underwhelming beer doesn't factor in.

Crushed Velvet is a really good beer and I would pay $14 for 16oz/4 pack.

Does it come in a 16oz 4 pack?

Enjoyed their taproom this past July. First time I'd ever tried their beer since their packaged beer costs are absurd. But since I live in Ravenswood so it's a haul to get there it'll be the last time I try their beer for some time. I'm not paying their shake down packaged prices

i used to think they were in the conversation for top haze in the city, but their recipes have changed for the worse and seem to fall off sooner than I remember.

$15-16 per 4 pack is their standard, which is 15-20% higher per ounce than nearly every other brewery.

i have to assume their tap room must be doing reasonably well, because their cans gather dust on shelves.

And on top of that, they are opening that new place by Margie's, so that seems like further evidence their tap room must be doing pretty well.

I want to like and try their beer for some reason, but the pricing and lack of dated cans are a negative, and I've also experienced some of their beers that seemed to get worse in quality. Considering I'm really limiting my purchases, it makes me not really even consider Marz stuff.

I like drinking at their space on Iron street, but I won't seek out any of their cans anymore for all the reasons mentioned. They've fallen into the category to me of things I still like to drink but won't spend money on.

Pretty sure I’ve had my last gamble on a 4-pk of Marz until I hear things have changed. I’ve been a fan for a long time and when it’s good it’s good. But, if I’m spending that much of a premium on beer, I’d like to be reasonably sure I’m getting their best product. I just don’t have that confidence anymore. At all.

Chug Life is a great example of a beer I'd love to regularly buy, but $13.99 for a 4 pack of 12oz cans is tough to wrap my head around these days. A 4-pack of Dovetail Helles is about half the cost in $/oz and while I appreciate that Chug Life is likely more expensive to make, I really wish it was closer to that $10 mark. Very excited to have their new spot in Logan though!

I don't know if Marz is listening to us or not, but I did see some recent cans with canning dates on the bottom.

At one point they did date their cans. I remember early batches of JungleBoogie and Machine cans that hit the market the day they were canned. Was a good day.
