    I never had this Pabst. In fact, I have never seen it. I have one bottle of Pabst left from the six pack. Just 4.7 ABV. I like yours better.

    look: 3.75 | smell: 3 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.25

    Clear and dark golden hued body; nice carbonation; head is one-finger thick, dense and creamy; broken rings of lacing inside the glass. Extremely faint smell; wet grass with a bit of caramel and citrus. Malt-forward flavor initially, then bringing some decent hop bitterness out on the back-end; light caramel; a bit spicy and peppery. Medium body; crisp and prickly on the tongue; dry overall.

    For a two-week old packaging (09/03/19 09:41 on the bottom of the can), there sure is a lack of smell to this beer. Otherwise, it isn't bad, but truly lacks definition and character. The can (and the brewery's web site description) also mention things like 'marmalade', 'orange', 'pine' and 'juicy'. One would be hard pressed to find those things in the beer. The one other can description ('toasted') does come through in the flavor. The beer certainly is drinkable, but the traditionally heavy-hitting IPA combination of smell and taste are rather subdued with this beer.

    I like this beer. Ever had Namaste brewed by Dogfish Head? It is a good wit.

    Picked up some classic swill for reviewing last weekend. This one was really nice! Great head retention/spotty lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and light corn; with some herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. A bit of muted/fruity corn aromas, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness; no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 5%. Very clean lager flavors, minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Great clean pils malt/grain showcase, and great noble hop presence/balance for the style. Mild on adjuncts. Color me surprised, glad I got the 6 pack for 5 bucks! One of the best AAL I've had. 3.88

    Won’t have time for a Friday Doodle posting tomorrow as I’ll be mingling with the unwashed masses at a high school football game for the first time in about ten years. :grin: Always a great time! Also, I will not being doing any laundry tomorrow or over the weekend as I am incompetent at this task :smirk: and leave it to my wife...unless :thinking_face: she happens to read this...which she could since she knows all my passwords. :no_mouth: Anyway, I’ll hate missing a Friday night in the Virtual Bar tomorrow.
