After 31 years (!) of offering high quality bottled brews in central Ohio - The Columbus Brewing Co. has FINALLY opened a taproom for the first time in their history.

Located at 2555 Harrison Rd. in Columbus. 20+ taps of CBC beer for onsite consumption, many of which also available in crowlers to-go. See current taproom menu here:

The taproom space is great and the selection at opening is pretty terrific. Haven't tried everything I want to just yet, but they nailed every style I tried.

Not surprising at all. Best brewery in Columbus, IMO.

The Cashmere wet hop IPA is incredible.

I hope when I drive through in a month the Bodhi is still on tap. I'd definitely grab a couple crowlers of that to go.

No worries, Bodhi is a flagship and should always be on tap and in 4packs of bottles.

If you ever need any bottles sent to you for C and S, hit me up. Always happy to spread the love of one of the best IPA’s ever made.

Just throwing this out there, the Crocodile Tongue peach sour is insanely good. If you can get out there ASAP, do it. @WesMantooth and I stopped out yesterday afternoon and we will both echo what @masterofsparks said about Cloak of Cashmere and the Soaked in Simcoe is amazing as well. Very nice place all around.

The place is very nice. Love the clean industrial look. Also got to bs with @tcorder219.
And, yes. The Crocodile Tongue is one of the best beers I’ve had this year, and easily the best peach beer I’ve ever tried so far. It is as good as anything I’ve had from Cantillion, Hill Farmstead, New Glarus, etc... That Cloaked in Cashmere is killer.
Like @masterofsparks said, every style is very on point. Every bit as much as Fat Heads. Honestly, I tried about half of the tap list and it was probably the best sampling top to bottom that I’ve had. The place was worth the wait.

I submitted an update request so we can do place reviews for the new taproom.
Congrats to the CBC team, you did a fantastic job.
Two suggestions: pave the entrance driveway, and better signage so first timers don't have to do a u-turn (the taproom itself isn't easily noticeable from the road.)

    That's amazing to hear!

Also, just took a look at the pics online, I'm loving the Dragon/Kraken/Phoenix mural artwork.

Yup. Both of those things are still on the "to do" list. Weren't able to get it done before opening because, well...$$$$. But the entire parking lot surface is getting redone. We'll have to shut down for a couple days early in the week whenever that happens. And there's permanent signage planned for the building itself and out by the road. Hopefully neither take as long to complete as the taproom itself did

Stopped in on Saturday and love the wet hopped Cashmere and Simcoe. Couldn't do the wet hopped Sabro or Easy NE ipa. I'm finding that Sabro tastes like straight coconut to me.

Oh and Crocodile Tongue is definitely the best wild to come out of Ohio.

Yep. Big time coconut. We also find it pitches a little bit of lime on occasion, with some underlying tones of tangerine and a woody component. Some love it (I do) and some dislike it. It's all tied back to its lineage in breeding. One of its "parents" is the neomexicanus hop. They're using this as a parent in a bunch of new stuff, so we'll probably see trace coconut/tropical traits in several new hops moving forward.
