"Working from home" this morning, which really means getting chores done before heading up to central NY for parent's weekend to see daughter. Should be beautiful up there this weekend and there's a decent brewery almost right on campus that my ass will be at a couple times. Until then, this Fest will do... chicken coop is cleaned, time to pick up some bagels for Carly.

It's thin and more yeast than malt driven, but it's drinking okay this morning. My crew got their butts handed to them last night with both lines broke down needing maintenance until midnight. First break was six hours in. Resisting the urge to drink some Scotch in favor of a short nap and productive afternoon. Cheers all!

 

Waking up with another one of these heavy breakfast stouts from WW.
Shower, meal, and then I'm walking downtown to the climate strike with my students... cheers!

 

A local Pilsner while doing a quick garage clean. Kinda slow for a Friday around here folks, let’s pick up the pace!

By the way - sports on the East Coast are brutal....USC game doesn’t start until 9pm EST. Wtf!

Chimmichuri skirt steak with a Bell's Porter. Her corn beef.cheese chips

 

If they still offer the salmon there, it is fantastic.

 

Lighter shade of clear gold color with lasting white cap and lacing.

Aroma of rich malt and fairly intense hops that definitely lean toward the ripe tropical fruit laced with grapefruit camp with some piney touches as well.

Taste is hop forward (it is an IPA) with bright, vibrant grapefruit zest and fruit along with some touches of ripe tropical fruit such as mango, some floral touches, all supported by a solid malt base. I'll say the hops have a firm bitterness without bitter bite. It starts, drinks and finishes dry leaving a refreshing aftertaste.

Heard yet another classic Metallica while running errands. It’s like they know it’s Friday!
