    Black Friday in the US.
    Happy to report the wife and I had no shopping other than grocery to do - and beer, of course. Over the past few days I've accumulated a nice little bunch of beers, some of which are already gone.

    Here's what I'm currently sitting on:

    But since these are all new beers to me* and deserving of more attention than I'm ready to give them right now, I've popped the cork on a classic:

    Thanksgiving was great yesterday. Now I'm looking forward to decorating for Christmas later today, and being otherwise off until Monday. Hope you all are having good times as well.

    I'm keeping it simple and enjoying a Sam Adams (mostly) seasonal six-pack I put together at the grocery store the other night.

    1 Old Fezziwig Ale
    1 Holiday Porter
    1 Winter Lager
    1 White Christmas
    1 Chocolate Bock
    1 Boston Lager

    Right now I'm drinking the Old Fezziwig Ale. Next will be the Chocolate Bock. Afterwards I need to shower and head out to get some groceries, which also means I have to make a beer run, considering my beer store is right next door to the grocery store. I'm sure my wife will understand. When I get home I'll knock out the rest of the sixer throughout the evening and night.

    Today: Started with a Widmer Nelson Imperial IPA (it's gotten maltier, but the hops aren't gone; quite good, and better than I would expect in the category from a Weizen specialist).

    Yesterday: 2012 Rye Smoking Wood, 2008 Aventinus.
