    Hello BAs,

@superspak box finally came my way, so as a first treat and admittedly a classic I’ll start with a beer from Delaware: Dogfish Head 90 minutes Imperial IPA.

Excellent! Sure, I’ve already had a number of Murican IPAs and very few weren’t good but this one? Worthy of its classic status and impossible to find here... thanks Ian and cheers!

Glad you enjoyed it, and looking forward to your thoughts on the other ones. Also, that one is from Delaware, and not Virginia:grin: Cheers

Silly me. I edited my post but so that other folks can laugh at my ignorance I’ll leave your post above online.

Silly you. I'd bet half of Americans couldn't find Delaware on a US map. We'll let you slide.

It’s a tiny state! Also most of Europe probably thinks the US consists in NY on the eastern coast, Texas for central/South and Cali for the west coast. We are equally dumb and clueless if that makes you feel any better. :slight_frown:

Good day BAs! Off to a late start here in TX - not adjusting well to the time change. Having a chicken gene or two, I'm kinda linked to sunrise/sunset in my sleeping patterns so as the days get shorter so do my periods of consciousness. Anyway, today's New Breakfast Beer technically isn't "new" since I did have one in the distant past, before BA:

Alright BAs, courtesy of @superspak again; New Holland’s Dragon Milk.

Ian knew I was fond of stouts and this one is... oh well an absolute world class one. I mean I loved CBS and BCBS and I’m not doing a comparison here but this is some tasty beer here! Strong on milk and caramel, smooth and creamy says the label. Indeed!

Ghost River Brewing Lost Hive Honey Wheat Ale . . .

Honey gold color with good cap and lacing.

Aroma of caramel malt touched with honey. Little hop presence noted but that's not the emphasis here.

Taste on entry is caramely malt and yes, honey sweetness. Hops are there but play a distant secondary role. I got a good deal less sweetness than I was expecting, it seems counter intuitive that a honey ale would have an element of dryness but Ghost River manages to pull that off here. Hops are just enough to keep things in balance.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Very easy to drink with a clean smoothness that should appeal to a wide range of palates.

Sitting at home waiting for deliveries. Might as well have one. From the very generous @Dragginballs76 Edmunds Oast's Chocolate Vanilla Swirl Azathoth. Thanks Mike for another great beer. Cheers!

The first time I ever knew I was in Delaware was when I saw the sign that said, "Thank you for visiting Delaware!"

I literally said out loud, "When the hell did I get in Delaware???" :grinning:

That said, if we're talking about tiny states, Rhode Island would like a word .....

..... probably a very short word. :grinning:
