Time for some Mosaic goodness from Toppling Goliath. This is properly executed. Cheers, brethren.

An excellent Pale Ale with some quite vibrant hops for the style. The combination of zesty orange, sweet passion fruit and slightly acidic white grape really makes this one stand out, with a good dose of pine coming through in the aftertaste as well for an additional kick. I do love me some Nelson Sauvin, looking very much forward to their next one, which will feature Nelson Sauvin exclusively.

Aroma of roasted malt. I was expecting more smokiness but while present that's muted. There is definitely a floral/herbal thing going which I presume is the Angelica. Presume because I don't know whatinhell Angelica is other than some research indicates it can be a tuber root, vegetable stalk or spicy seeds and I also don't know which part (all?) of the plant is being used here. Smells nice though.

Tastes like Belhaven Scottish Ale or at least in that neighborhood. On entry roasted malt (coffee, chocolate) is apparent with a heavyish malt flavor following after. I don't really notice the Bavarian hops but with these heavy Scottish styles hops are just the salt in the stew and may as well stay in the background. Brewer says smoked barley is in the grain bill but it's a light smoke, more like what you would find in a Highland Malt rather than an Island Malt, which is to say enough to notice but not enough to throw things out of balance. Slight roast malt bitterness in the aftertaste.

Why not stick with the Pale Ales for today, I got a very special one lined up next. This one certainly takes the cake for now though, with an amazing mouthfeel and hop intensity for the style. Well, it's Cloudwater after all, but it's really not THAT much better than the FrauGruber I just had :stuck_out_tongue:.

I remember fairly recently someone was asking about flavorful, sessionable IPAs. Weighing in at 5.00% ABV, I think I've found it. Now prior experience with SingleCut, but have only hear good things, which are evidently quite accurate. Just delicious!

I think I’m enjoying the stout a bit more than you did, @VABA

Damn! It’s so dead in here, the barkeep is filling my water glass as I’m drinking from it.

This beer, style and brewery is an excellent combo. Found a 12-oz. behind the pint cans.

Lucky dog! That’s one of my top wants. We get Maine in SoCal, but they said Dinner is too fragile to ship 3,000 miles away. Cheers!

An undated bottle of decadent blueberry and bourbon deliciousness from a place I used to frequent quite a bit for their stouts. I'm glad I bought enough with me to last for a couple of years.

I had this beer in early August, and it was canned on 5/31. Heavy, heavy, heavy diacetyl notes all in your face. I was pissed. This can is 9/23. It's better, certainly. I just don't think this is an amazing beer. And, that said, how do you set yourself apart in a flooded market? Duh... you brew something amazing. This is probably really popular among their close friends, and local supporters. The Hunter is not going to give you that bullshit. I'm thankful that I only have one can. Peace...

46 years of Marty calling the Reds games on the radio came to an end today. That's my entire life plus a few years. Truly the end of an era. Gonna be weird listening to games without him.

    Time for a beer...
