    Seems you are correct:

An old favorite from the early days of Revolution makes a return. This bourbon barrel-aged Scotch Ale, decked out in a fine tartan kilt, has a delicate smokiness alongside American oak and bourbon character. Pour a wee dram and let the brogue fly. Don’t be daft, enjoy now or store cold.

Back to hating Scotch barrel aged beers with a clean conscience!!

From their release announcement, it was mentioned that they 'slightly tweaked this recipe which is based on the original recipe'. I'm curious to know how. Although original SG had Galaxy hops while the later EG releases did not I do not believe so who knows what is what any more.

Too bad. How do you not have a scotch ale aged in scotch barrels? That would seem to be circle of life....if not spirit of life.

Yes, you are correct. Didn't mean to mislead regarding Gravedigger Billy, was going off of memory.

The Lake Effect Brewery in my original post was correctly identified as Scotch Barrel Aged (Scotch Ale aged in Inlay Single Malt Barrels) that may be to GuyFawke and others liking.

I liked the sample at their anniversary party, and this should be available at FOBAB in addition to their bottle shop later this fall.

The worst beer (non infected) I've ever had was scotch barrel parabola ... that beer was ... vile. The other few scotch barrel beers I had were not great. The best might have been the BI stout that was barely aged in the scotch barrels if only because it was so light.
Grabbed a can today for this weekend - will report back.

I didn't enjoy it, but it was more drinkable than the other scotch beers I've had.

I was at TJ Batavia on Sunday and they had plenty of emerald. They also have True Reality which I really enjoyed. And Imperial Blackberry Jones Dog cans ($7.50/each). But you are correct that the new stuff has been few and far between.

Any word or speculation on the next ba release? I feel like it’s been a really really long time since we saw one.
