Express yourself with GIFs

    GIFs have been around since 1987. They grab our attention, our brains can process them faster than plain text, and they're now widely considered an integral part of our online language. And, when used correctly, they can be fun and bring life to discussions.

    We've had a long-standing no GIFs rule, but it's almost 2020.

    How to embed a GIF in your post:
    I personally prefer GIPHY, but other GIF resources should work.
    1. Head to: https://giphy.com
    2. Find your GIF.
    3. Copy the direct link to the GIF vs. the URL in your address bar.
    4. On BA, select the "Image" icon in the text editor, drop in the link, and insert.
    I highly recommend that you preview your post before posting to ensure that the GIF is embedded properly. Otherwise you have a 15 minute window to edit your post if the embed breaks and you can always report broken embeds for removal.

    See our Terms and Rules for use, but basically we ask that you:
    1. Don't overuse them.
    2. Don't post GIFs that break our terms and rules. Doing so will result in your post being removed, quoted replies to your post being removed, and possible banning of your account.
    We hope to add direct support for GIPHY once we upgrade our forums, which will make embedding GIFs very easy. Until then...

    Why can't I figure this out yet I'm one of the handful that can figure out how to embed photos on here. I think I'm screwing up somewhere about here...
