More Brewing Co (2019)

The BA Henna Macaroon is very good.

Had a bottle of the BA Double Rainbow last nite. Still good but thought the rainbow had faded some.

 

Is rainbow a euphemism for hype?

 

We get it. You think their beers are too sweet, overhyped, not good.

 

Chalk it up to atmospheric conditions.

 

I'm heading over to collect my Faberge egg (aka Macaroon Henna)...I noticed on google maps there's a place called Lunar Brewing Co. VERY close by. Anyone been? Do they have to-go options? Are they worth it?

They don't seem to have a website so I'm in the dark a bit.

 

Place is awesome! Great dive bar with a good list of house and guest beers.

 

It's more dive bar than brewery. Cool place and nice change of pace from the trendy brewery scene, but don't go in expecting a setup like More.

 

Anyone know if henna is still on?

 

Lunar is one of the OG places..dont expect to be friendly to neckbeards..but their beers are solid and their guest taps are awesome...you can expect locals drinking inbev.and side shots..but its a great place..

 

Tapped last night

 

This is pretty cool. I happen to be headed up to that area tomorrow. Wife and I have been to Outer Range Brewing before. They make some great hazy beer. Hope to grab some tomorrow if it's still around. Would be nice if a certain BA beer was on too, but I know better than to hold my breath there.

 

BA Henna CPM was tapped at 4pm tonight. Depending on how big the keg was, you might get lucky tomorrow

 

Just left MoRE, and Henna CPM was still available on draft. For what that beer is supposed to be (a sweet pastry stout), I think it delivers. Lots or macaroon aroma and flavor. Chocolate, coconut, ... quite sweet. I enjoyed it still even though I am not a big pastry stout fan. However, the fact that it didn’t dissolve my teeth and give me diabetes might also mean it’s not going to meet the expectations of those looking for a Cinnabon roll type of sweetness out of their pastry stouts.

 

Damn. Just got to town and Henna appears to be off the menu now. Anyone know if they still had ORB cans to go? If not, I'll probably put my one available stop into somewhere else.

Left there about 4:30 ish. Double Frooted Pink Guava & Pineapple was on draft and pretty tasty. They had a very small amount of Blueberry Marbles, Fresh Pallate, and Way Down. The to go fridge was very sparse. Behind the bar was totally empty.

 

So you didn't quite...taste the Rainbow!?!?
