Central Waters Brewing (2019)

Anyone know why they stopped making headless heron, or if they plan on making it again some day? Miss that beer...

 

Pretty sure they announced recently that they brewed some but it will be kegged only.
It's on tap at Champps right now actually.

 

Last batch is still sitting on shelves here.

 

Not sure I can swing the 5 hr round trip 2 weekends in a row

 

Wow. Where are you located? I believe it was last made in 2016. Doubt the spices in this one would hold up well but would be interesting to try.

 

Central IL. I know at least 1 place that still has it on shelf.

 

Hopefully those Barleywines will be on draft at their beer fest next weekend.

 

Made the trip got here at 450. Was able to grab a few 3yr barleywine and a 4pk of 2 yrs. had the pecan on tap, glad They sold out before I was there or would have ended up with that too. Sad to miss the other barleywine

 

Just curious how much a can of 3 yr barleywine cost?

 

6. 2yr was 20 for 4 pack.

 

And these are 16 oz cans. CW continues to be one of the most fairest priced breweries out there. Cheers to them.

Cheaper than a pretty significant amount of non-BA pastry stouts these days.

Can anyone confirm whether or not all the barleywines sold out today?

 

Can not confirm sold out, but when I left at like 510 they had about 18 3 years left, but out of everything else

Kinda disappointed that they're not tapping any 2yr or 3yr barleywine.

 

I'm not going or anything, but yeah, I expected to see some on that tap list.
