Apologies if this has already been discussed, but does anyone have experience with shipping screw top crowlers? Not sure if I should tape down the lid or anything like that. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I think you mean growlers, but it wouldn't hurt to tape it. I've shipped monkish growlers with the swing top and never had any problems and screw top seems more secure. The most important thing is to package securely and make sure it doesn't move when you shake it. Good luck

    Check this link out. https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/resealable-crowlers.566206/

As far as shipping them, I would think using some plastic shipping wrap may be better than electrical tape. The wrap can be found at Staples, etc.

Yeah, those are what I’m shipping. I’ll check out plastic wrapping. I was also thinking about taping them longitudinally, since taping around the cap like a growler, would be a little awkward.

Now that I know what you got, I think you should be good with just wrapping up the whole thing like a bottle/can. Probably no need to tape as long as the cap is tight, it says it has a sealed liner on the description.

Always just taped mine & never had a single casualty in 10+ years. Probably not necessary, but for 11 cents of tape it seems worth it to me!

I've only had a problem once with the screw top crowler namely (and this may be just one brewery) but the glass feels thinner than a growler so you've gotta use a bit more bubble wrap. Electrical tape is always helpful

He's talking about the metal screw top crowlers.
I would probably tape it longitudinally like mentioned earlier and then just wrap or in bubble like any can and hope for the best
