SAVAGES (v2) Hints/Hauls

A month or so ago Fedex intercepted a box I sent to SC with some pretty good stuff in it and wouldn't give any details other than they wouldn't deliver or return the contents. Last week I got a letter from them saying that I'd been caught sending contraband, namely alcohol. Has anyone gotten something like this before? I'm not very confident about sending anything else through my Fedex account again as I feel they may have marked me for extra scrutiny now.

Meanwhile USPS continues to deliver exploded, booze-smelling packages to my house with absolutely no judgement. Today I went to my local post office and the clerk greeted me saying it had been along time since I'd sent any "sparkling water" there. That dude recognized my brewery shirt a long time ago and knows exactly what I'm sending. USPS rules!

In any case, my targets should be receiving initial boxes of cans on Saturday. Not sure how I'll be sending the rest yet.

 

Haul hint looks like my favorite GA brewery just released another batch of my favorite DIPA that they brew, just did it a few weeks ago but the timing didn't work out to be fresh. I believe target B will enjoy this more than target A but it will be in both of their boxes.

 

I had a box that busted on the Fedex truck i had to go pick the box up at the hub but so far i have had no letters about shipping alcohol. I used fedex all the time up until recently I am getting really comfortable with flat rate unless i am sending 30 plus pounds of beer.

Yeah, I would only use FedEx as last resort. The only one I really trust is USPS. In one box that I received I got a hand written apology note that said "sorry for damage, it looked delicious"

 

Also, someone I know received the same type of letter. Stopped using them for a few months, then went back with no issue. That was 2 years ago though and it seems like they are starting to increase their dickhead level.

Since one of my targets figured me out, I will modify my previous hints to help out my other target a bit. I'll say Target A is the one who figured it out.
Hint #1
Both of my boxes are heading West. B = further west than A

Haul Hint:
I’ll be in Portland ME next weekend and will include part of my bounty in my boxes.

Hint #2.
At least one of my targets has been a BA member longer than I have. A

Hint #3.
I have more verified trades on BA than both my targets. Both

Hint #4
One of my targets has reviewed (not rated/reviewed) more beers than me on BA, the other has not.
+ > or = 300 and - > or = 600. A = more

Hint #5
I have sent one of my targets beer before...the other one, I have not. I have sent A beer.

Hint #6
Both of my targets live in a city/town with a greater population than mine.
One is about 1400 times greater (A)
Other is about 15 times greater (B)

Hint #7
I have participated in 2 or more BIF rounds with one of my targets. The other I have not. BIF'd with A

Hint #8
One of my targets has a lot of highest level sports teams in their state. The other target lives in an area with a similar number of highest level sports teams as my state. A has a lot.

Hint #9
Target A state admitted to the union before mine
Target B state admitted to the union after mine

Hint # 10
The total land area of my town is a lot greater (at least 5 times) than target B's town. Population density difference between our towns is significant too. Somewhere between 50-150 times different.

 

My condolences on your chosen career. I worked in accounting for 35 years. It explains a lot about me a reckon.

I got the same letter. Went into my regular store, where I dropped off the package, and canceled my account. Told them I wouldn’t be shipping with them any more because they are a bunch of ****s. I started going to an independent shipping station that shipped usps or fedex. They compared pricing and arrival date between the two. I just always picked the best option. Never had a problem with fedex that way.

 

I know @azuelke got one of these as well - be careful that you warn your senders not to throw you Fedex boxes as well @r0rschach - their stuff can get confiscated as well.

 

I received the following from USPS this morning regarding my lost/delayed/misplaced package. Looks like it finally made it to it's final destination, almost.

This will also be the final clue to my second target, we'll call him Target B.

Good morning, Your package arrived here this AM as you can see. I apologize for our delay. Hopefully this will not happen again.

Your item arrived at the Post Office at 7:31 am on October 10, 2019 in ORFORD, NH 03777.

May apologies for the delay. Please let me know, once you have package in hand, what the damage is and I will happily replace/resend to make up for any issues.
