Sorry I've been absent the last couple days! Finally back on dry land and after being up 24 hours yesterday I crashed hard haha

Woke up this morning and 30 minutes later the door bell rang. Touchdown from @dprice And it's a doozy y'all! Pics to follow later today after obligations, just wanted him to know everything is safe and sound!

Bad news my friend. Just went to The Answer and was told that they were not filling any stout crowlers this week other than a session stout (I declined that one). My intent was to include two stout crowlers I thought about Joose crowlers but the barkeep told me they had to be kept cold at all times (someday I a may get the initiative to figure that out). In the meantime, I did pick up a DIPA for you so that you had the chance to try another Answer brew.

So here is what I am gonna do. I have another target to send the week after next. I will try The Answer again that week to see if I can get stout crowlers. If so, I will pick up a couple to send to you as sort of a supplement box. I have purchased stout crowlers from there twice before so sooner or later I should be able to get them for you.

 

Oh yeah, I felt the energy from that save in the arena from the couch!

 

A "session stout"? I wasn't even aware that this was a thing. Sounds like you made the right choice, sir.

 

FYI - I refuse to like any posts about the Flyers or Bruins.

 

Sometimes you just have to acknowledge a great play.

 

The alcohol level was 6.2% so I am not sure why they called it a “crushable session stout?” Granted, in general the imperial stouts seem to taste better. In retrospect, I should have had a glass to try it. Maybe they would have even given me a sample. Sadly, I was not quick on my feet.

Good guess. And while I live in the part of NY where the two fan bases intersect, I am and always will be a Sabres fan. Flyers dislike goes back to the late-90s when I was in school in central PA and Buffalo was beating up on them in the playoffs. And the Bruins, well, that's just ingrained.

 

Now I'm scared for the safety of my poor porch....
