For a guy who is "retired" he does come into "work" here quite a bit.

 

Being an ass is what I do. I am really good at it. Besides, I have a whole lot of fun on this thread. Been lucky to have bent elbows with a few folks at some of Richmond's finest breweries.

 

A hint. Dude, I think you need meds. Math is cool but....Having said that, I think if we can meet at The Answer again I can give you some good counseling.

Thus far my friend, how is the school year going? Eight years after retirement my wife still has school nightmares.

 

The kids are extra terrible this year. I’m having to yell way more than usual, but looking forward to drinking super-good beers on the weekends is getting me through!

 

That sounds like my job in the restaurant business - the customers are extra terrible, and I want to yell at them a lot more lately.

I don't, but I do enjoy the good beers part.

I also do my best to rmind myself that I have less than a year left of it till I can finally move on.

 

I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about our "retired" interloper.

If I make it to your great state, and area, I'll make sure to hit you up for some beers.

I do not remember if I told you I was certified in PA to teach 8-12 history. I even student taught. I could not get a job. Proves there smart folks trying to get the best teachers.

 

Got a notification when I was driving home from Iowa that a box from @dprice landed. I hot footed it home but could not park in the garage because this beast from DeShawn was blocking the way:

Next a killer tired hands glass. Sick artwork and my first of that style. Love it!


And then there were cans. So many cans. And more cans, one bomber, and more cans. Here is the damage....

Levante - Glitter parts- ipa with coconut and vanilla (been enjoying milkshakes a lot lately)
Tired Hands- Alien Church (big want)
Other Half- all citra everything (HUGE want) & ddh double mosaic daydream (OH does Mosaic so well)
Equilibrium- solar fluctuation, dHop5 & fluctuation- all dipa (only had 2 EQs before and loved them both and been dying to try more)
Tired hands - sticky drippy crystals- honey saison (Favorite style- excited for this)
And then a freaking 6er of Burley Oak which what I was praying I would get in the last two rounds of rookies but never did. So stoked for these:
Double Citralaxy - IPA (love citra and galaxy)
Pink on the Inside- pink Guava and Himalayan sea salt gose (sounds delicious)
Canned heat - triple ipa with blackberry honey (love blackberries in beer see UT last night lol)
100- all galaxy dipa (big want)
Banana bread jream- sour with banana cinnamon vanilla and brown sugar (another HUGE want)
Triple apricot raspberry jream (drools...)
And this little fucker was kinda hiding on me. The wife spotted the tasty cake it and opened it before I could take a picture
As is tradition in my house before any beer is chilled the girls descend and eat whatever chocolate there is. It was awesome.

Thanks so much DeShawn!!! You crushed it with all new beers and hit some big time wants. I crossed you off my list waaay early so this was an awesome surprise. I’m stoked to start getting after this east coast goodness. Thanks again!!! I’ll get you back my friend...

I know I was mentioning of doing random call outs to get through my final 8 choices. I'm going to wait to see what my one outstanding call out does. He hasn't been in the thread since said call out, so I'll just wait and see.

I'm a huge light weight so it wouldn't take much to drink me under the table. And, yes, I do believe you that you have great breweries there. I'll eventually cross your state off my list of states I haven't had a beer from.
