Martin House Brewing Company - Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer

Well, they definitely nailed what they were after. It tastes like the end of a dill pickle jar. I like pickles, but not drinking the remains. That said, this was a great mystery beer @r0hrschach. I would have never thought to try it otherwise. My wife tried it and her first words were why does it taste like pickles?

Now I’m going to wash the taste out of my mouth with some Todd the Axeman I found at our local beer store this afternoon.

Sweaty gym socks. Reminds me of a high school story. But I will spare y'all the sordid details. But I agree. The smell of sweaty socks is probably not a good aroma for beer.

 

First off, not looking for any sympathy here. Just following this thread looking at all the awesome beers, with the exception of that sour pickle beer @bstoos just was subjected to, and I'm so fucking jealous. Nursing a sinus infection, on antibiotics and really have no sense of smell or taste. I WANT a beer! No I NEED A BEER!

drinking my first beer in 2 weeks because of a terrible cold. It was killing me because I had like 5 boxes of hops land during the 2 weeks. Hang in there!

 

Thanks. Fortunately only 2 pints of Root+Branch in the house so I'm not drooling over what's at home. On the flip side have not done any shopping for Target #2 so that box will be a little delayed.
