Good day BAs! This may eventually be a cross-post with NBS, but for now, New Breakfast Beer:

Got this to try a brew using Kveik as the yeast strain - OK.

Watching rugby world cup Japan vs Scotland.

Exciting game, Japan 20 minutes to making the quarter but Scotland coming back.

    Cheers

Flavor for me is about 60/40 hop/malt ratio with both malt and hops retaining their identity. Malt is rich with the slightest touch of sweetness with hops shining brightly yet the hop flavors of pine, herbs, citrus and fruit all sing with one harmonious note. Also without bitterness which is a neat trick considering the amount of hops used. Very complex, very polished and easy to drink.

Drinking Holy Grail out of a chalice. It is one if my favorite Ales of all time. Malt forward, Golden color and at a great alchohol level. English Golden Ales are special and hard to come by.

    Cheers

Good Sunday morning BA's! Work done, laundry going, car dropped at Firestone for tires and 3.5 mile run home complete. Good lord, this 3 Sheeps Cuvee Blend is outrageously smooth and excellent tasting. "A curated blend of barrel aged beers". Thank you @scream for this most excellent beer! I had saved it from our meet up with @DoctorZombies at Dunedin Brewing. Have a great Sunday folks and hopefully you can get outside. It's supposed to be a pleasant 88 with a breeze here.

    Morning, Geeks!

At times I find life extremely comical, even at it's up and downs.

We have a birthday party today for my wifes cousins little boy. Can't recall how old, dont really care , but its at a "jump" house? Think trampolines are involved...

Last of these. Hope to find more laying around.
    Have a great Sunday, BA!

Have a nice Sunday BA. Pretty wild and crazy couple of days for me. Stayed up over 40 hours from Friday into Saturday. Got in a pedestrian accident last night, but thankfully everyone was okay. 2 Teenagers literally ran in front of my car in a parking lot, so it was a low speed collision. I was lucky I wasn't arrested last night.

This is amazing as usual. Flavors of huge caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet potato, spicy rye, toasted pie crust, whiskey, and oak. Light balancing spice bitterness and rye/whiskey/oak spiciness on the finish. Fairly full bodied; very creamy, bready, grainy malts; lightly slick, syrupy, and sticky in the mouthfeel. Lightly drying from sticky spices and spicy rye/oak tannin. No cloying sweetness. Mildly warming 11%, no barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipper. Balance between the spices, rich malts, potatoes, and rye whiskey barrels is damn near perfect. This delivers all that I expected from it. Got plenty more from the last release as usual. Always worth the price.

Omnipollo Aon Pecan Mud Cake - BBA. This was insane! Minimal head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, pecans, caramel, brown sugar, fudge, brownie batter, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark bread; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, oak char, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very minimal herbal, grass, roast, char bitterness; and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and super full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, bready malts; light slickness and slight sticky/chalky/tannic notes in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness; no cloying sweetness. Amazingly smooth/silky/soft, minimal wartming 11%, zero lingering barrel booze. Perfectly balanced super rich malts, flavorings, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy with lingering dryness. Did not prefer over the base beer, but met all expectations.
