This spot is amazing but I do also highly recommend going to Irish Mafia right across the street before/after OH. Real solid pub food and they do older, traditional styles of beer very well.

The OG thread seems 90% focused on Brooklyn anyway I doubt this will take much away from it.

A 6% berlinner is imperial? Not sure I agree but I guess it is subjective.

Why not, aren’t Berliner’s traditionally low abv, like 3 or 4%? And this one is hardly to style.

The Berliners currently being brewed in the United States are generally around 4-5% and pretty much every Imperial Berliner I have personally come across is in the 7 to 8% range. The "traditional" Berliner may have been closer to 3-4% but the modern interpretation in the United States is almost always higher.

    Hansa's Imperial Berliner is 7.6%

Stone and Evil Twin did a collab Imperial Berliner that was 9.5%

450 North Slushy XL Berliners are 8%

I totally agree this one isn't to style but since regular Berliners are commonly 5% I don't think adding an additional 1% ABV is enough to call it an Imperial.

Again this is all opinion - but in my opinion a “to style” imperial berliner doesn’t exist to begin with. So they can call it whatever they want.

I am sure this is a stupid question, and the answer is no, but does any OH beer get distributed (cans or on tap) to anywhere in or near Jamestown, NY?
