    To all smart beer nerds, I have a question. I wanted to get my targets a few stout crowlers from The Answer Brewpub. Their stouts are excellent. Anyway, I went last week and the young lady said they did not, or would not, fill stouts in crowlers that week.

    Before I made the trip today, I called. The guy who answered said that they do not fill crowlers with stouts because they use too much carbonation and or malts and the crowlers would leak or explode. Could this be true or did the guy just want to get me off the phone so he could have a smoke? Or maybe I just need to finally get the hearing aids my wife is bugging me about.

    Thanks for any insight you can provide.

    I’ve purchased stout crowlers there before, so this might be bs from that employee. Or maybe it’s a new policy. I hope this isn’t true, as I was looking forward to bringing stouts home next time I visit!
