Also taking the kid on an excursion tomorrow that will hopefully include a brewery who doesn’t distribute but does well in national blind taste tests. Not optimistic they’ll have their famous beer though.

I gotta give Oso another chance on their wilds. Mob craft too. Sometimes I’m too quick to ditch a brewery after a couple of lousy beers. Mob craft took home a GABF gold (cough-haul hint-cough) and I am in still in shock

 

I've been hit! Looks like @jdell15 is my second sender. I've always been a fan of Redbud berliners and in fact I liked this cucumber one so much I harassed my boss until we released one of our own this summer, which was a big hit. I used to pick up a pack of these every time I went to Austin but it's been ages since I got any so thank you! Some new ticks here from Wiseacre, Wasatch, Tin Roof, Ozark, Lost Forty, and Rebel Kettle, and mystery can.

Grace & Grit was actually the first NEIPA to get distro to DFW a few years back and set the bar. My friends and I used to alert each other every time stores got a fresh batch because it would sell out within a day. Local breweries started trying their hand at the style and the results were shit across the board. The first local brewer to nail the style was Matt Reynolds, a guy working for a bougie Thai place that made their own beer. Once it became known that that was the place to go for IPAs, my wife and I started going every time he dropped a new beer. It was pretty hilarious looking around the overpriced restaurant where a ton of well-dressed people were eating and then around the bar where a bunch of bearded dudes in cargo shorts were taking pics for untappd. He eventually got his own brewery open, Celestial Beerworks, which some of my targets have gotten to try. We do collabs all the time and he's an awesome dude. Anyway, been ages since I've had this one and I'm excited to revisit it!

Got an awesome box before work this afternoon courtesy of @Joplamp. It's nice to normally be home when the beer mail arrives but damn it makes for a long night at work knowing there are some great sounding beers awaiting my return. I'm sipping the blind beer as I post but here's the rest of the damage.
