It's right by Pike Place Market and they pay for an Untappd venue badge. Their taplist is never very impressive so I opt to go to Cloudburst or Flatstick when I'm down that way.

Also, Dori Monson can go fuck himself. The man has no solutions to solve the homeless problem and just wants to rile people up.

    Word.

Back to SBC, the language on their website nearly gave me an aneurysm. It's like somebody with a degree in Buzzwords started a business: http://www.seattlebeerco.com/

That place just isn’t interesting and is definitely trying to appeal to tourists. Seems like they get leftover options on kegs.

    Mission accomplished, I guess.

I agree that Seattle Beer Co. isn't particularly great, and gives off a low level vibe that the place is a front for one of the big brewing conglomerates.

But it's a convenient place for the day's first beer when Mrs. vurt and I stay at the Moore Hotel and grab brunch/lunch at Biscuit Bitch. The taplist has included beers from Stoup and Seapine on our past few visits. Which might not be too inviting for Seattle residents, but it's still good for us.

    We're tourists.

I’ve been a couple of times. Won’t lose sleep if I don’t return. Old Stove, which I’m liking more and more, is steps away up the sidewalk.

hows the beer? The last time I was there nothing interested me and so I ordered cider. It was when they just opened.

I think their beers have certainly improved from the days when they were only up on 1st Ave. I haven’t ventured too far off their standard lineup, although I’ve had a couple of their fresh hops at places around town. Tasty but nothing extraordinary. I like their pils and brown the most.

I like what I've had from Old Stove. I'd still rather hit Cloudburst if I'm at the market, but they're good.

Also as an FYI, the owner/brewmaster from Naked City now works at Old Stove after filing bankruptcy and acting like nothing bad happened.
