I need that Coffee Vanilla Pressed in my belly immediately.

Does downtown Binny's usually get delivery today?

AFAIK, most Binny's get their beer deliveries on Thursdays or Fridays.

The red ale was a bit too hoppy for the style, in my opinion, and came across a bit soap-y.

I preferred this version of Pressed, most likely because I almost always prefer vanilla to maple in a beer...but I wish they'd get with a better roaster than Tugboat for the coffee.

Agreed but I do prefer Tugboat over Dark Matter if your putting coffee in a beer.

Binny's gets beer deliveries every day. Depends on the distributor/brewery.

Everything I've ever been told by anyone at Binny's is that their major beer deliveries come on Thursdays/Fridays, more often than not. Doesn't matter to me whether they do or not. Was just offering up some information.

And yeah, it does depend on the distributor and brewery.

It's also location. I think downtown gets a lot of their beer monday/tuesday. Farther out in the burbs is wednesday/thursday.

Yeah. This is all based upon distributor schedules.

I can say from first-hand knowledge, and a friend who is a major distributor in the Chicago area, that major deliveries are on specific days, though. Not just scattered across days whenever. They'll hold product in the warehouse for their scheduled deliveries to specific stores, even. I know all three western burbs Binny's I visit get the vast majority of their beer delivered on Thursday or Friday.

Although, as you've said, it also depends on the brewery and distributor.

I'm no expert, though. Like I said before, just offering up some info that I have.

My timing was good yesterday and I was able to snag a can of each of the new releases. Looks like there was much less Pressed than the Autumn Red Ale.

Autumn ale is much more bitter than I was thinking it'd be, not very pleasant to be honest

That said they also need to dump tugboat. With a better coffee roaster this could be amazing. There relationship with mikerphone is fuckingn things up

In the south burbs. What are the chances I can find a can of Pressed? Not asking for a friend. FWIW, I know this is likely an absurd question right now.

I’d say not likely. Most places it came and went the same day

While I still find a Pressed to be a bit too much on the sweet side, I agree it’s way better than Curvature.

Strongly disagree with both of you though Pressed Vanilla was solid. On another note, I really struggle with imperial porter as a style
