It varies. I just opened a 2TD two weeks ago, and it was better than ever. I think most bottles are gross now, but if you get lucky, it remains the best Bruery holiday beer.

I traded a Partridge last year for a collection of some longtime wants. Your best bet is to wait until someone puts up an FT and hope what they want us what you have. The above bottles are certainly on the right track.

the sentence is just syntactically ambiguous. neither you nor the reader who misunderstood you made a grammar error; you two just failed to communicate without further disambiguation. this is common (ie daily basis) with natural language, but it just gets glossed over in the absence of the inherent aggression of the internet.

Now that youve got it, what are you going to do with it? Look at it?

Do you already have the 100% Barrel Aged Partridge? Recommended to go with your Partridge...

The best thing to do is look at the recent ratings. There are not a ton, but those from the current year are all higher than the average. That tells me it is holding up just fine. If the ratings start to dip significantly, then consider drinking it early. For example have a tasting of 1-6 once 6 is released and then do another tasting of 7-12.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to cellar some beers and make an event out of it. I just went to the GI Black Friday event where they brought out all the previous BCS variants for a big tasting along with the new Cherry Rye. It was an awesome event and now the OP can hold his own event with friends/family.

For what it is worth, a buddy tried the Doves at Darkness day and said it was really good.

My bottle shop poured Two Turtle Doves at a Bruery tasting in the spring, and I thought it was drinking very nicely. I doubt it still will be in another 7 years, but ya never know.

I've had it a lot over the last couple of years as a buddy has a ton of employee only bottles. Personally I enjoyed it, it is definitely changing but not towards soy sauce.

I picked up about half a dozen bottles back in may when the Bruery was releasing a beer a day, and of the three bottles I opened none were drinking very well. Has your buddy been cellaring at fridge temps? If so, I could understand them holding up. But after the BA event at the Bruery earlier this week, BA2tD seems to be the way to go.
