What's bolt cutter been going for? Just out of curiosity, I will have 2 FT.

    Cheers!

That depends, what's it's past trading value? How will we know what it goes for in a few hours for now? Do we sell sell sell, or buy buy buy? Why has trading gotten so hard lately?

What people are trying to explain is that it doesn't go for anything specific. It'll trade for another limited shelf beer that's in the $20 range. Due to its thin distribution, you might be able to land a large brewery only release like Dark Lord or a Beat batch 5.

Thing is, just do your research. Find an approximate bottle count; find out how much it cost; check the board to see what others are asking for it... Then ask yourself, "How hard was this for me to get?" Then you'll know what to ask for when you trade your Bolt Cutters.

PS: Something else I've been seeing that no one talks about anymore is the old Venn diagram issue. Most of the people trying to trade Bolt Cutter for things like Bourbon County Coffee and Cherry are going to have a hard time because they're all in the same distribution area. Try to find somewhere that doesn't get Founders (http://www.seekabrew.com/distro/index.html), and you'll have a much less frustrating time trading away your beers.

PPS: For those veterans that think my system is complicated, I would guess that you all already do everything I suggested, but it comes naturally to you at this point. I keep repeating this for the guys just getting into the hobby who don't seem to get how it's done so they'll learn instead of making mistakes while we tell them how ignorant they are for not being able to figure it out on their own.

I was asking about specific trades that have you have done or seen or just a few ideas like "Hey, you could try for an Abyss or DL." Thanks for all of your pithy and mostly useless responses.

    don't post.

edit: you know very well it was just released and that the point of your post is "see what i can get for this beer i bought." this question is stupid (it has no established value) and makes the trading forum / "community" worse. you are kidding yourself if you think "i traded it for a bourbon fred!" "i traded it for an abyss!" matters at all to what "you can get," and you're missing the point of several things if you think it should help you figure out how to act.

this is not pithy, but it's very helpful. try to learn from it instead of posting a butthurt response.

As a San Diegan I could tell you I'd trade BA Speedway for a BC + BCBS Coffee 12 and even out the $ with an add from me like Alpine bombers. ( BaSS is $27 - figure the other end is around $37. )

I'm all set though so no offers please.

I notice that 2 out of 3 posts in ISO:FT are trying to unload Bolt Cutter. My guess is that it's a buyer's market, or at least it should be. I traded a Darkness for one because I didn't expect to see any here in MN. I was clearly mistaken, and was able to get 3 more bottles when it hit here.
