Have a nice Wednesday BA. Haven’t slept all night due to stress and anxiety due to this month’s edition of a midlife crisis. Oh well. Just been vaping all night and watching youtube videos. Ashens and BigClive mostly. Cracked open a new “Honey Twist” e-juice and it’s really great stuff.

Haven’t had this one in about 4 years. Surly Furious. Fantastic as usual. Lasting fluffy head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, bread dough, light roast/nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 6.7%. Fantastic Simcoe, Amarillo, Ahtanum profile. Extremely vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hops; with a great bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Will be in the fridge rotation for a long time to come. 4.23

Imo Furious is one of those iconic ipas that is just a terrific beer everyone needs to try at least once. I used to order it from France 44 in Minneapolis I think, legal and right to my door.

Victory Twisted Monkey. Excellent Belgian Blonde. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy mangoes, fruit skin, melon, lemon, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, and light banana/bubblegum yeast; with moderate cracker, white bready malts; light herbal, floral, woody, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; light herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light fruit tang/acidis in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/tangy/carbonated dryness; no pucker/astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 5.8%. Awesome balance of juicy fruits, Belgian yeast; with a clean pils malt backbone, and solid earthy Tettnang hop presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Spot on style all around, this should have a way better average.

Amazing NEIPA as always. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, grassy, zesty, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; very creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats, and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very dank/juicy hops, with perfect wheat, oat, malt malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness, amazing soft feel. Super easy drinking. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. This is one of my top most purchased beers ever at the moment. It just doesn't get any better for the style vs availability. Every Old Nation NEIPA is better than most anything else I've had in the state. DDH is just as impressive; but a bit more bitter, resinous, dank, and earthy.

Balk from walking the dog this warm and muggy morning - coffee time with the Baby:

I took yesterday off from alcohol as a cleanse say, and it was part 1 of moving. The crew picked up furniture from 3 locations, plus about 40 boxes of records, books, stuff and took it to the new house. Part 2 happens next month...Have a great day y’all!

Cleanse days can be challenging (and necessary from time to time). Sounds like the move is going well, Doc!
