We received an order of used casks from the UK that have not proven to hold CO2 very well. We've stopped filling them and will be selling them as scrap metal. All future casks we fill will be ones we've purchased new.

The bottled conditioned version of RU-55 (which will be released as soon as we have labels approved and printed) tested at 2.2 volumes of CO2. We're pleased with how the bottles are presenting, however for batch 2 of RU-55 we'll likely increase the priming sugar addition to have the beer finish between 2.5 and 3.0 volumes of CO2.

Bars sending casks won't be filled, or only casks from spots with new casks?

Whip-in is out of Buddha's. So is everywhere else I've tried. Guess I'll stick to my Boxer's for now.

Did you try Central Market Westgate? They're limited to 1-per-person, so it should last longer there than anywhere else around town.

We'll still fill casks from bars that send them to us. We're just getting rid of our used casks from the United Kingdom that wouldn't hold CO2 well.

For those of us that live in the burbs... Is there anywhere we can go to get a list of what you guys have on the shelf? Also do you have any more Commercial Suicide?

Unfortunately no. You're always more than welcome to call and ask for specifics though.

And yes, I have plenty of Commercial Suicide.

    Tom,

D&Q and a couple of the other regular places inside the loop (CM and HEB Montrose I believe) got this last Wednesday, but havent seen or heard of it anywhere else other than that - inside the loop it is.

I thought it was pretty good. A nice smoke-like flavor to it, most likely the oak coming out. I also didn't think it had thinned out at all, had a pretty decent mouth feel. No sour notes whatsoever. (and yes, I've had the non-oaked, non-farmhouse version as well).

It appears I've been living under a rock for the past couple weeks. I had no idea about this "Buddha's Brew" being released. Anyone in the DFW know of any places that still has "a" bottle of this?

I talked to one of the wine guys at CM on Lovers last night...he seemed to think they *might* get a shipment this week, either Tuesday or Friday. He said probably just a single case, maybe two if they're lucky.

I actually, like this new batch a lot more than the older, way overcarbed version.
