I didn't partake in it, but in summer of 2016 a local store wanted to increase their 2017 allocation of KBS, so they got a truckload of overstock Founders FBS cases and sold them for $20/case. It worked, and earned them the biggest allocation of KBS in the state, back when it was very limited and still a high-demand cult beer.

Oh, wait: how could I forget bia hoi in Vietnam? I think it translates to fresh beer, and is low ABV. One small cup was about 9 cents in 2005.

Last weekend I got a bottle of Tilquin Oude Pinot Gris for $15.99

Not sure what the retail on that is but I'm guessing it's a lot more since even the gueuze is priced higher

how’d it taste? It always looked pretty crude and milky from what I’ve seen, but for 9 cents a pop...I mean you’d be an idiot to not be on board for it!

Wow.....I used to pay $8 for the small bottle of gueze. Not seen it around for a few years.

I got a 12 pack of Two Brothers Citra United at Costco for a bit less than $5. I’d never had it before, but couldn’t pass up a fresh 12 pack of IPAs for that price. Turned out to be pretty decent.

I would have bought a case. Picked up a bottle of jw Lee's 2010 for $2. Calvados. Best $2 I've ever spent.

Neshaminy creek core beers $26.99 case, shape of hops $6.99 a four pack
Alesmith IPA $30 or within a few $ of that.
Sierra Nevada Gold ipa $20 case
Guinness 18 pack with 3 or 4 different beers $15
    Founders 15 packs $12.99

I get these deals every week at the beer place I shop at.

    Best crazy deals

    Allagash CURIEUX $4.49 a bottle. I bought 6
Firestone anniversary beers $10 each, I bought none. Had never heard of them before but they were next to BCBS that was $4 a bottle, 2012.

I used to get aged Belgians at the old circle liquor, it’s changed a lot since back in the day. They had lots of beers I never saw again and lots of good imported things.

    Enjoy

It was not to BA standards. Actually a bit on the sweet side, but I was 25 and not complaining due to the price point. I’m no expert, but probably a rice adjunct lager. But for 9 cents a pop, it did the job masterfully.

I drink plenty of stuff outside of BA standards haha. It’s always interesting to hear outsiders’ honest takes on commonplace “potables” from overseas. Cheers!

When hazier little thingies came out, a gas station got it and had to punch in the computer when I went to buy and I got a few six packs for 6 bucks each.

Win Dixie a few years ago must have dropped all thier Guinness nitro 4 packs, they were held together by the old school plastic holders (In packs of 6 not 4) and I bought a ton all week until they realized and got 2 free cans everytime. It even said Guinness 4 pack as the clerk scanned the 6 pint cans lol

One of the local HyVee W&S shops had 200-ml bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label for $40. Per ounce, this is 33 percent less than the 750-ml price of $225. Of course I'm in!

Not beer related but my local Meijer once had half gallons of Everclear labled as some bottom shelf vodka and priced at $12 a piece.

That's about as much of that as I remember and my liver wishes it could forget.

It's not really a score but there's a craft beer bar that has a good selection. 100 taps. It's not a franchise/chain. Price for beer varies of course based on beer and pour.

They also have a Sunday deal - 5 dollar tappers. That 18 dollar 9oz pour for Avery Amicitia just became 27 ounces for the same price....

Allows me to try a lot of things without spending big money on.

Nine cents? Dang, they'd need to pay me more than that.

Years ago a local MGM liquor warehouse had their Fantome priced wrong - about half of what everyone else was charging - I cleaned them out.

Just an observation here, take it for what it's worth: I wouldn't consider something that I know for a fact is scanning at an incorrect price to be a "sweet deal." If there's a shelf tag or an individual price sticker, or if it's in a closeout display, that's fine by me. But if I know it's ringing up wrong, I will bring it to the attention of the clerk or the manager. More often than not, they will sell the item at the discounted price anyway if they can't easily correct it in their system.

    As always, YMMV.
