Day 6 from @bl00. I can tell coconut is involved. The Lost Generation from Peaboy Heights. Quite pleasant. Thanks Dan.
With unavoidable sadness due to an approaching finish to this six days of fun, I opened the last bottle from @Burrass and immediately knew I was in for another treat from Matt based on the robust chocolate and vanilla aroma: Prairie Dawgs Mallowdramatic, my first dawgs and what a treat this was! Easily the best Prairie I've had, and one of the best stouts this year I came across. This was a perfect final beer in a great six day line up. In the killshot, @Burrass curated two days of Aslin joose, followed with two days of big format Hardywood, then a Veil/HVB stout collab and Praire Dawgs final leg for the win. Candy kill shot not included but it was paired gloriously. Many thanks Matt for such an excellent assortment of superbly tasty beers!
After 5 great days of excellent candy and beer from @jschott75 of course I was looking forward to Day 6 One of the thickest stouts and best dark chocolate I've had ... also went great together! My first Shared stout and it was excellent! Thanks Jim!
@byrdpickem kill shot. Loving everything from Southern Grist so this box was right up my ally. The Vanillionaire surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Thought Vanilla would be too much for me but it hit very well! Still got an extra 15% Pastry stout to drink, but gonna wait for the first snow fall in Buffalo to drink that guy!
Apologies to @hardysf for not posting sooner. He sent an amazing 6 days, culminating in a fantastic barrel aged duo. Day 1 had 3 parts: New microbrewery Arvon Brewing. Put these guys on a wants list STAT! Day 2 Traxxx and Cookies and Cream Night Fury. Day 3 HOMES- I’ve been really impressed with these guys. Great sour Day 4 Schramms Bramble! So much berry goodness. Dry finish. Day 5 Kamigoya. Boozy and sweet with the classic Transient silky mouth feel. Collab with a new Tampa nano-brewery. Excellent. Day 6: started with 3-2-1 DB Dire Wolf. I got a load of barrel and cinnamon. and finally Hello Barkness my Old Friend. First- amazing name. Second- oh my, this was decadent. Caramel, Maple, Vanilla, oh and Barrel! What a way to finish. Thanks for a great Michigan 6 days, @hardysf!
Late to post my Day 6, but it was a big, thick stout. Not picking up on any barrel, but it's slightly sweet, has tons of roasty coffee, and something else going on. Had to let it warm up, a lot. After letting it hit room temp, the sweetness was most definitely the vanilla coming through, much more apparent now that it was warm. The thing I couldn't figure out was the almonds, which is tasting artificial now, but not in a bad way. Tasty ass beer here, thanks again @winehead247
And finally, the killshot from a wonderful 6 days from @winehead247, thanks again Blake for the wild ride!
