It’s more fun that straight trading, the whole thing is a complete mystery and a surprise.

I’m not ashamed to say that I plan my beer purchases in the spring and fall around these BIF’s. It’s like I’m anticipating whether the groundhog is gonna predict spring or winter.

    Yea..... clapping hands, lol.

I don’t know what makes some beers more hardy than others, I’ve had Heady at that age and it was fabulous, I had Abrasive at 3 months old and it didn’t work. Granted both are Hop blends, but both use Citra which I don’t think ages all that well, but some do.

I’m the opposite because of supply and distro. There’s not much in the way of local Stouts outside of Event Horizon and Sexual Chocolate that I’d send to anyone, but imo they are both eerily similar. Definitely not a hot spot for these kinda beers. Hoppy stuff is the freshest stuff I can find, so I basically wing it.

Aha. My highest rated beers (to style, mind you). Very clever!

I’d be fooled there too, outside of Heady and Abrasive I couldn’t tell you what else in high on my ratings list.

Well, I'm down to two potential senders. One I consider unlikely based on his clue .... and a recent pairing. So .....

.... should I expect some Taylor Ham in my near future?

The "old" Abrasive (pre-2016) is the best beer I've had.

    Yep, I said that.

I had it when it was 4 days old, and it was literally a Citra-hop explosion that shifted my palate in ways I couldn't imagine. That was when I started to seriously track date codes. Now, it's changed and not nearly as good, IMHO.

I popped the top on that King Sue tonight with some trepidation. One whiff and I knew that my fears were unfounded.

Same here. Me: "Ooh a Bottle Logic release, I better grab 4. 1 for me, 3 for some other dips hits with bad aim in our circular firing squad."

I had my first Abrasive after my first trip to Vt, and it was eye opening, I agree on how good that beer was. My last order from France 44 was disappointing, the Abrasive was mediocre and the Furious was still very good. Funny how you can smell it and know it’s right on point.

It's been well documented, on this site, that at times my target and I have vastly different clothing styles.

First box shipped out today and lands Friday player. Another box or two to follow sometime next week.

Please do not trouble yourself Phil. You sent more than enough. On second thought, any chance you can ship me a keg of the great notion maple stout? I would like to actually try to drink a bucket of it.

According to my tracking number, my target's box is available at his local PO Box. :grinning:

When I was packing this, it was like “Sanford and Son” - I was packing with anything I could grab .....

Almost stuck Ranger in the box, but figured that would be a bit too much of a surprise for @nc41 (or heaven forbid, his bride) .....

He’s a sweetie, but his bark makes him sound like Cujo. That can be a bit exciting when you’re not expecting it.
