@SammyJaxxxx sent me a box in the standard white USPS shipping carton.

I picked it up and dislocated my elbow and shoulder.

How he packed 93 lbs of beer into that box - and it all arrived intact - is beyond me.

I’m exaggerating on the 93 lbs.

    A little.

    Nice!

I’ve yet to participate in a “big” bottle share like that - I have a pretty good “self regulator” when I’m drinking with Mrs O or in a small group with a handful of bottles (a Dark Lord share a childhood buddy and I had with our wives and sons), but all I can picture is finding myself amid all that world-class stuff and blowing that regulator WAAAAAAAAY the flock out of the universe.

Come to Bellingham in two weeks. We'll recalibrate that regulator for you.

The mystery beer from Mike @ovaltine.

And I kinda guessed right, an ipa using either Citra or Mosaic hops., both of which are imo very fruit forward and nicely bitter.

I put it on NBS too.

The “new” here is the canned, which just started recently. In other words, ZD is now a beach beer!

Canned beer is definitely more versatile than bottles, would be a terrific beer to sit and watch the waves roll in, some CCR blasting on my phone.

Following @Roguer 's instructions earlier (oh and happy Veterans Day to you good sir, and thanks for your service, and the same to any others of you who may have served), though it is long winded, I'll include my review on this gem from @thebeers since it's not being shared on a Sunday. Arthur's generous supply is truly displaying my lack of self control .

    Bells
    Double Two Hearted Ale

Double Two Hearted looks like your classic DIPA (or TIPA for that matter). Burning amber color with a slight lack of clarity, and a creamy off white head with excellent retention and lacing.

The aroma follows classic fashion with intense bitter orange peel, grapefruit juice, and pine sap. There's a sweetness to it, as expected, reminiscent of orange marmalade.

Listen to your nostrils, folks. Orange marmalade indeed, maybe even orange Jolly Rancher. Sweet and juicy, sticky, sappy orange reduction drizzled over damp pine needles. All kinds of rind on the finish.

Sweet and sticky as mentioned above, but leads into a creeping and lasting bitterness. Warming but not intense, and displays none of that elevated abv in the flavor. It's rich and definitely a sipper.

I'm a big fan of Two Hearted, and most of the Bells offering s I've had, in fact. Now that I don't have access to them here in Oregon, this was a pleasant and welcomed treat. Classic aromas and flavors all intensified, which is refreshing in a day where it's all about the new what's next.

    4.39, +5.8%

    Thanks again! Cheers!

I sent my target a Double Two Hearted knowing he’d probably had it already and knowing you can never have too much Double Two Hearted in your life. Love that beer.

Sorry for the recent silence! As anticipated, this weekend left me with very little time to enjoy new beer, much less review and post. It was also an awesome weekend, but I'm beyond spent.

I did manage to review one beer from @SammyJaxxxx 's box(es), dutifully on Sunday, but only one - and I couldn't muster up the energy to post.

I will catch up my reviews on this thread .... but not tonight. Cheers!
